>> a big mistake early and the first person i have to apologize to is carl edwards for what happened on the back stretch. getting bounced around like a ping-pong ball and i got into him and killed his day and he was frustrated. i apologized i don't know how many times. it was unintentional. especially for the ra way we rd yesterday. i know they had a good race car. all that aside. can't thank these guys number with the camry. a great race car off the truck and we had a fun time today. came through a lot of adversity. dave and the guys never gave up. the pitstops were great all day. in the end, jeff had a better car than us. i thought i was going to be able to -- when i got off to a big enough lead i thought i could hold him off and he ran me down and flat out passed me. he was really fast and we couldn't hold him back. good to see those guys back in victory lane. that is good, if anything is good about it. >> steve: see you in your hometown next weekend. >> thank you. >> dick: not very fast in practice or qualifying or in the beginning of the race but here you are finishing third at the end. where did the speed come from? [chanting] >> they say cut back! >> we say fight back! >> reporter: the crowd size outside the marriott does not compare to the numbers in wisconsin but the passion is there. >> we're here to remind these national governors -- governments, united we bargain, divided we -- [bag back back. >> we don't want just a trickle. >> we had our last collective bargaining agreement six months ago. i got a small raise. i have good health care. >> reporter: these people showed up because they thought the governor of wisconsin was going to show. he didn't show but another governor did show up. the governor of development says he finds he gets more concessions from maple syrup with -- with vinegar. this union leader from wisconsin got emotional stalking did the -- about the groundswell of support in the country. >> it touches my heart. >> reporter: inside at the governor's meeting, a former governor of alabama, which is a right to work state, had some thoughts about the grows protest. >> in time you have thousands of constituents come out and show their feelings, take notice. >> reporter: demonstrators say they can keep up their fight one day longer than wisconsin governor, scott walker. we had a gorgeous day today. the question is, is it gonna last? >> that's always the question these days. >> yeah. >> just a total warmup. big changes for tomorrow, right? >> big changes but the warm weather is gonna stick around. let's take a look at the numbers we hit today, unbelievable. some 10 to 13 degrees above seasonal. 62 at dullus and 61 at baltimore. we're keep'sing an on eye a -- keeping an eye on the storm system heading our way. rain will move in tonight during the overnight hours. for tomorrow, it will be fairly active. the warm weather continuing across the region. today, we hit the 60s. tomorrow we're headed to the 70s but that warm air is gonna clash with a cold front, a strong cold front, so by the hours tomorrow afternoon, when the warm front moves to the north and that cold front heads into the afternoon/evening hours, we're expecting to see some thunderstorms across our area and a fair amount of heavy rainfall as well. unfortunately, that also means the gusty winds are going to be returning. so be prepared for that. we're under a slight risk of severe weather from the storm he prediction center, so things could get fairly active. already our areas to the far west, allegany, western maryland, western virginia, we expect to see rainfall. there is a flood watch currently in effect, from monday 1:00 a.m. through until monday evening. now, as i mentioned, tonight we will start to see some of those showers moving their way in. might see a few light ones in the early-evening hours but they will increase overnight. but the active weather in terms of the storms are not expected to move in until we head into tomorrow afternoon into the evening. so your evening commute could be impacted as a result. for tonight, then, not all bad but as we move -- as we move into our five-day forecast, we're heading to 70 tomorrow. that warmer air clashing with the cold front. to the south of us, we could see temperatures warmer than the 70-degree mark. so don't be surprised. we dry out by tuesday and wednesday. then we really cool down on thursday. then-- we have a dry cold front moving through wednesday night. >> all right. thank you. >> as we say goodbye to you -- it's a short show because of nascar -- we'll be back on time at 10:00 and 11:00. let's leave i with warm thoughts. >> warm thoughts. >> yes. this is people watching some of the planes overhead, so close you can almost touch them. >> almost. we'll see you back tonight.
