police still trying to piece this together. at least four people shot during an early morning robby in district heights. gunfire heard just before 3:00 a.m. in rochelle and atwood street. the police found the victims with non-life-threatening injuries. so far police have not made any arrests. they're asking anyoneitroh information about this crime to come forward before someone else gets hurt. staying in maryland, montgomery county police are looking for the thugs responsible for robbing a 99-year-old silver spring woman. police say she received a phone call friday asking her to open her front door of her mckinney avenue apartment to complete a survey. when she did, two men pushed past the door, stole her cash and other items. the victim was not hurt but was taken to a hospital as a precaution. cash for clunkers in over drive. local car dealers say they're going to be carefully watching what congress does this week. hoping government will power more money into the cash for tornadoes on friday and more bad weather i frederick today. they had to have been scared because around thur mont and wolfsville, dozens and dozens of trees down from this morning's storm. that was the big story in frederick. hundreds of trees and very bad damage in particular around the whiskey creek golf course in frederick county. the capital, fairly dry. that's not to say we may not get a spotty shower later on tonight. with the bulk of the rain this day is done. let's start with max hd radar. we have spotty showers that might pulse up and give you 5 or 10 minutes worth of rain. we're not seeing much lightning. they're spotty into fairfax. you might have something here or there for the next several hours because we have a front nats going to come through. a couple o spotty showers in anne a run dal and prince georges county. a bigger activity is crossing the bay toward cambridge. watch out at the beaches. you may get one more round later today. you can see it later on max hd true view. we chase this bigger cluster over to the eastern shore, moving east at about 10 miles per hour. that will have heavy downpours and lightning. our frontal system way back here. notice just north of cumberland there is still just a little bit of activity. the front will come through around midnight and after that happens that will shut off the moisture chances. we may be dealing with fog tonight. let's check out our max hd headlines. that's been a crazy day. but the front krozing around -- crossing around midnight will end it. only isolated storms expected monday and tuesday but as long as it stays this hot and this humid, we can't eliminate them from the forecast. but it won't be nearly as busy on monday and tuesday. our better chances for storms this week will be wednesday and thursday. the atmosphere will still be juiced up but we'll have a trigger which will be a frontal system which will be approaching. speaking of those tornadoes i wanted to show you the reports confirmed in frederick, both of them ef 1 tornadoes near ijamsville. the second was a little stronger, all ball road to the whiskey creek golf course, it did intensify. both had a two and a half mile wide path, about 350 yards in diameter so tab letter road -- tabler road into whiskey creek, a lot of trees down. 82 degrees now. here's your forecast for tonight. isolated storms, areas of fog late, temperature 70 degrees overnight. we start our first full week of august on a partly sunny and warm ne. our temperature around 88 degrees with isolated chances for afternoon storms. got to be good news for the legg mason ten i cans classic. main activity out to our east. and this frontal system which will swing through around midnight will eventually get to the east and stall out. it will become a stationary front. on the eastern shore and at the beaches your chance of having a thunderstorm is a little bit better than the rest of us tomorrow. otherwise most of us just isolated storms under those partly sunny skies. here is your five-day forecast. going for 88 degrees for tomorrow under partly sunny skies. we bump it up to 92 on tuesday. still humid, still dog day like. we'll be howling at that forecast. then we increase to better chances of thunderstorms on wednesday, thursday and friday. by better i mean not everybody sees them. 30, 40% chance in the afternoon but i bet
