returning back here to washington but not before he was cited by police for felony hit and run tied to two traffic crashes saturday. the commerce department says secretary bryson suffered a seizure when he was behind the wheel in california, and later was given medication to treat the seizure. police say the secretary was driving alone in a lexus in san gabrielle near los angeles when he struck the rear end of a vehicle that had stopped for a passing train. bryson briefly talked to the people in that car and then hit their car again as he departed, officials say the three occupants in the struck vehicle followed bryson while calling police, the white house today, press secretary carney was quick to stress, bryson's accident is believed to be caused by a medical condition. >> circumstance is pretty unique in that secretary bryson was alone, was not with security detail, on private time which is common for a certain number of cabinet and resulted in him having a seizure and ending up in the hospital. for that reason i think, you know, you have to recognize this is somewhat unique. >> commerce secretary was not travelling with a security detail he was in california to east of baltimore this side of the bay, but it is really small. we did have a couple showers trying to come through, those have all dissipated, let me show you, there has been a lot of rain down to the south, flooding rains, in the south and southeast, last several days, look at the rain coming up through the carolinas, and up into the southern section of virginia. then, deeper moisture, pooling down and collecting and kind of on the march in our direction. the thought is, later on this evening, and overnight tonight, some of that will get here, in the form of showers thunderstorms, by tomorrow morning, some of that could be lingering around, and see some fairly heavy rain in spots, then do it all over gain tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon with more showers and thunderer storms. we don't expect flooding rain or anything like that. in some of these showers and storms, next couple days, and the next 24 hours, 87 down in the city, shower and thunderstorms dry, a few more at 9:00 daily basis we will maintain access. maintain roadways open, walk ways open for pedestrians we are working closely with the business community to make sure they are aware of what we are up to, and that they are also involved with the process as it relates to coordinating for example, temporary sidewalk restrictions, enclosures -- and closures at all times when that occurs we will maintain pedestrian access open through temporary means,. >> let many ask about parking it can be a mess in that area any time of day as well. construction and sidewalks blocked it will be worse what advice to [ male announcer ] romney economics. it didn't work then, and it won't work now. fairfax county police still haven't identified the suspect wanted in the murder in reston over the weekend. investigators have a description of the man and composite sketch but don't know who he is. the victim died during a fight outside his apartment complex. paul. >> reporter: well, fairfax county police say he died from blunt force trauma apparently after getting into a fight with another man near the swimming pool in the apartment complex where he lives. at least one witness saw the fight, called police, and gave investigators a description. but at this hour the man is still unidentified. he lived no more than aquarter mile from where he worked. a dunkin donuts he owned the place with a partner, one of two he had a stake in, according to police. early saturday morning his body was found next to a power box after an odd series of circumstances. police were first called to the complex for a fight, in progress. >> officers arrived, and unfortunately, it happens so frequently we showed up there was no one around the fight dispursed so officers did a quick check and left. >> reporter: an hour later, police were back for the report of a missing person, finding his body in the bushes near the pool. >> detectives are confident that the fight did involve mr. patel and we know for a fact the missing person we were looking for was mr. patel. >> reporter: what is unclear what sparked the fight and whether he knew his attacker. police appeared to recover at least one finger fingerprint from a car. a witness was able to give police a description of the man then turned into a composite sketch. the witness told investigators the attacker was an indian male between 25 and 35 years old. some residents of the complex told us today, the murder has the neighbourhood on edge. >> we are worried about it. >> it is terrifying. didn't really hit me until i saw evidence once all the trucks were gone and the cops were gone. and that was really disturbing to me. >> investigators have not ruled out any motive and are still looking for help. >> we were unable to find any of his family members today. his business partner at dunkin donuts can he kleined to comment -- dunkin donuts declined to comment. the defense rested its case in the roger clemens trial today. this is the 9th week to determine if clemens lied. the jury could get the case by tomorrow afternoon. child sex abuse trial of jerry sandusky now under way in pennsylvania. the 68-year-old facing more than 50 criminal charges accused of sexually abusing ten boys over a 15 year period. today the first witness took the stand, with more on the trial, now we turn things over to our fox affiliate in philadelphia, chris is live in bellefonte pennsylvania, thanks for joining us. give us a little bit more about some of the testimony today that was pretty shocking. what was it like in the courtroom today? >> reporter: well, this is the first time we have heard from one of jr.ry sandusky's accusers the man adent feed in court as -- identified in court as victim number 4. the 28-year- old from center county near bellefonte pennsylvania, he went into very graphic at the tail about how the former asis -- detail about how the former assistant coach, groomed the boy, lavished him with gifts, snow boards, tickets to ball games, jerseys other memorbilia and then went on to sexually abuse the boy over a number of years. sandusky is accused of 52 counts of sexual abuse of 10 boys over 15 years, the prosecutors called sandusky a serial predator. now the victim, the prosecution -- one of their star witnesses was that 28-year-old he met sandusky through his second mile foundation for troubled youth. this victim says on a number of occasions this horse play, this wrestling around, some times many times in locker room showers, eventually led to sexual penetration over dozens of times, although this victim kept quiet about it for many many years, only revealing to prosecutors last year. defense now will try to paint jerry sandusky as a loving, caring mentor, who cared for these boys, the very reason why he opened up this foundation. they also say the reason why he is physical with these boys is they say this is the way jerry sandusky grew up being physical and horsing around this is the way he loved the boys which he cared for. of course, the victim, the star witness in this will under go cross-examination that will continue tomorrow. chris let me ask you how did sandusky react when he heard the opening arguments when he heard the alleged victim speaking today during testimony? >> reporter: very quiet, stoic, had his head down for a lot of it during opening statements by the prosecution when they brought up some of these alleged incidents he put his head down. seemingly, it did effect him but for the most part he has been very quiet, stoic in court of course there is a gag order neither side are talking about it publicly. >> briefly do we know if he is expected to take the stand in the trial? to be her donor. in tonight's health alert, a new study shows sleeping less than 6 hours a night could significantly increase your risk of stroke even if you have few risk factors. researchers studied more than 5600 people over a 3 year period and found, a strong association between sleeping less than 6 hours a night, and stroke symptoms in middle age and older adults, of average weight and low risk for sleep apnea. the study found no association between short sleep periods and stroke risk among over weight and obese participants. if you happen to be craving sweet and salty foods consider taking a nap instead. studies suggest you are more likely to crave junk food if you have not had enough sleep. research which ares examined areas of the brain most active when people looked at healthy winchester 72 degrees. here, in town, i think 86 or so, at 7:00 p.m., now i am going to stay there is a slight risk for the next 3 to 5 hours, of a couple showers or thunderstorms right now we are not seeing it but that could change as we head toward the latter part of the evening 81 at 9:00 p.m. temperatures upper 70s or so, by 11:00 p.m. this is sentinel radar sweeping around, again not really seeing anything right now, way out west, a couple showers here, we are seeing a little bit down around here, 66th, that is dissipated, you really have to go further out to see anything, notice in the last hour or so, how that is just fallen apart and the clouds have really thickened up become out to the west and southwest, i expect staying mostly cloudy right on through the evening hours listen this is all the big stuff down south really putting down a lot of rain, flooding rain, down to the deep, southeast, and look at this complex, coming into western sections of tennessee, that really means business, that is going to come and stay together it is going to bring more rain down through the southeast, problems there. what we are watching is right here in north carolina, this whole batch of moisture is just coming up to the north, and as that happens a couple things will happen, our humidity levels, are going up overnight tonight, and for tomorrow, and this whole area comes on in, there will at least be a chance of showers and thunderstorms coming across. overnight tonight, showers, have the thunderstorms come on through and there is the possibility that some of them could put down some fairly heavy rainfall at this point we are not worried about flooding rain but could have locally heavy downpours, within all of this. there is no doubt about it. temperature here in town, down to around 72. look at 76 tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. with showers and thunderstorms, a limited amount of sunshine. if we get a little bit tomorrow temperatures will manage up into the lower 80s a few showers and tomorrows around at noon and more showers and thunderstorms around late day tomorrow afternoon. this is future cast tomorrow morning notice a wet commute to start and push through by 5:00 p.m., more scattered showers and thunderstorms around and again, we are not expecting flooding conditions right now but some of those showers and thunderstorms we expect very heavy downpours and then by wednesday that gets all out of here and we will dry out. one day with showers and thunderstorms, high temperature tomorrow, again with a little bit of sunshine, make it up to shawn i tell you we just got information that is going to cause huge problems for lyndsey lohan she lied to the cops as a result of lying she could face criminal prosecution. we just put this up on the website. she slammed -- we broke this story friday she slammed into a truck on pacific coast highway in a porsche she was driving. totaled the porsche and she told cops that she was a passenger in that car. and she was driving with her assistant, the assistant gave her up a little later and admitted, that lyndsey wasn't a passenger she was the driver. you cannot give false information to police officers, it is a crime. not only can you be prosecuted for that but her probation in that shoplifting case can be violated by doing what she did. so she is in huge trouble, and the irony is she didn't have to lie she was simply in a car accident and insurance would have covered it but she created a mess for herself. >> wow you know, she is like the person with nine lives like on number seven
