gadhafi loyalists. a senior rebel official said the military unit responsible for protecting tripoli dropped weapons and left the way open for anti-government forces to enter the city. rebel leaders also say they captured at least one of gadhafi's sons and want him tried in international court for war crimes. in a written statement president obama says tripoli is slipping from the grasp of a tyrant and the gadhafi regime is showing signs of collapsing. now to a big story in our region, prince george's county police are looking for a person of interest in connection with a shooting that left a 2-year- old boy in critical condition shot in the face. take a good look at a picture investigators released. this is 18-year-old devin angel matos. they are calling him a person of interest, but as fox 5's tisha thompson discovered, he had a promising future. >> reporter: police say not be able to find him on the street -- may not be able to find him on the street but devin angel matos is all over youtube. multiple sources tell fox 5 police are searching for a former junior olympic boxer once ranked no. 1 in the country in his age group. boxing friends say matos was training for the 2012 olympics earlier this summer when a shoulder injury forced him out of ring and that's when friends say he started running with a different crowd. >> we really need to bring him in and the chief has put every available man onto this. >> reporter: prince george's county police now want to talk to matos about why they think two men started shooting at each other in the parking lot of this glenarden apartment complex when a stray bullet hit 2-year-old deandre johnson as he sat in his mother's arms. >> we believe that devin angel matos may know something or may have been involved in the events of the evening. we haven't positively identified him as being involved, but we think he might know something at very least and we want to talk to him about that. >> my baby was innocent. he didn't do anything. he got to suffer a lot. he got to go through stuff for the rest of his life. >> reporter: shakita johnson said her little boy was shot in the face. >> i picked up my baby and ran. i flipped him around and noticed i had blood on my shirt and he was bleeding coming from his neck and his mouth. >> reporter: friends say matos is a good kid who may have got involved with the wrong people. so this mother is begging matos and anyone else involved in the shooting to do the right thing. >> just turn yourself in, please. >> reporter: one boxing friend says matos has good parents who always kept a strict eye on their son, but when they spoke with his father tonight, even he didn't know where his son was anymore. police are still looking for matos and anyone else connected to the kids disappointed when a band called mindless behavior skipped out on an autograph session last night that was supposed to happen at anne arundel mall and plenty of advertising meant a big turnout, but it was actually too big that left the kids empty handed. >> i spent the whole day at the mall. i wasted a day for nothing. >> reporter: tunia brown was more than one of 1000 fans that showed up at the fye store at anne arundel mall to meet mindless behavior. this is some of the cell phone video she took while waiting in line for eight hours. the kids had to pee order cds and wristband -- preorder cds and a wristband and parents had to pay $10 as well if they wanted to be with their kids, but then the band never came out. mindless behavior is quickly gaining popularity. they performed on fox 5 morning news earlier this month. witnesses describe the scene at the mall at pandemonium. the crowd was large and chaotic. but according to fans, there was no formal announcement. the doors were closed and security guards started asking people to leave. the band's manager say the boys did arrive as scheduled but were told it wasn't safe to go through with the meet and greet. in a statement anne arundel county police say fye experienced a larger crowd than anticipated and the fire marshal had to answer l the event. >> parents were angry and -- cancel the event. >> parents were angry and some kids were crying and most people wanted their money back. >> reporter: many fans are expressing outrage through social media. will there be a refund? fye tells fox 5 they have no you. talk about being stuck in a tight spot. an 8-year-old boy went missing in utah. turns out he was stuck in a chimney next-door. he climbed a tree to get to the roof of the home, then decided to possibly be severe, but the severe risk seems to be diminishing somewhat, ridge of high pressure behind, it plenty of sunshine for your monday and much cooler. keeping an eye on the tropics, tropical storm irene expected to become a hurricane as we move into monday and now we've got this cone of uncertainty which means it could possibly threaten the extreme southern southeast. so we'll have to
