found a woman dead inside of her home in springfield, virginia. the body was discovered along sugar creek lane yesterday afternoon after police received several calls from some concerned friends. place say the woman was in her 40s and may have been dead for a couple of days. an assistant principal arrested on child porn charges. 29-year-old joshua myers has been suspended without pay from greenville elementary in nokesville. vectors saw they busted him in an online chat room with an undercover agent. the wildfire burning in arizona is the biggest in state history. firefighters continue to battle that blaze. it has already torched hundreds of thousands of acres. as ainsley earhart reports, one campfire is likely the cause. >> reporter: big flames and billowing smoke. it is all part of the scenery as firefighters battle arizona's largest wildfire ever. >> we are in an area with pretty up tense heat going on right now. >> reporter: thousands of homes have been threatened but few have burned. crews are taxing the flame from the air and ground. they are putting in long hours. >> they're 15-hour days and you are working every bit of it. but stay hydrated and we drink tons of process of being cleared. now to today's top story. a disturbing discovery in springfield, virginia. police found a woman dead inside her home along sugar creek lane and there are still a lot of questions surrounding this case this morning. bob barnard has more. >> reporter: fairfax county police acting on a call of concern from a friend of the victim came to the 8400 block of sugar creek road in springfield. officers knocked on the door, didn't get a response and when they forced their way inside discovered the woman would lives in the home were dead. >> the details weren't shared with me but the officer saw something that suggested to them that this was not a natural death. that is what caused them to secure the scene and back out. >> reporter: while police waited for a search warrant to send detectives and crime keen technicians inside the home, the victim's neighbor were left to wonder and worry. >> that is terrible. sorry to hear that. >> reporter: they have not positively identified her. >> i can't say anything. sorry. >> reporter: some of the victim's neighbors told us police were in the neighborhood, a part of springfield called newington forest and at the same address just yesterday. something officials who later confirm. >> i have just learned that police were here to do a welfare check on this address. >> what happened? >> the officer got no response from the house. they could find no reason to kick in the door at that time. >> reporter: officer bud walker says fairfax county police got a second call of concern from a different friend and decided to investigation further making the ghoulish discovery that has become a murder mystery. now, according to neighbors, the victim was canadian, had dual citizenship, was in the kate aring business. we and seriously injured in their home in crofton early yesterday morning. one of daughters managed to call 911 and report that the family's father was responsible for the attack. neighbors say the pre-dawn raid in libya by nato airplanes target the the area near moammar ghadafi's compound. not clear what was hit. nato warplanes have repeatedly taring he haddetted the area in and around the compound which sits in the heart of tripoli. the house says president barack obama has the authority to continue the action in libya without congressional authorization. the administering says the president is within his constitutional rights to direct a mission on his own. some lawmaker have filed a lawsuit over this. they want a judge to issue an order suspending military operations in libya. of the activity off to our north and west. this is a weak cold front that will try to get in here later today. early shower and we'll get a break during the middle part of the day and later this afternoon, we'll see if a few more showers and thunderstorms don't fire up along that frontal system, presenting the possibility of some pretty good thunderstorms around here later this afternoon. in from fair oaks. northbound i-95 leaving triangle this morning, lanes are open as you continue to do the double nickel up towards dumfries and out towards potomac mills. a new law in virginia aimed at improving school bus safety. as of july 1st, it is illegal for sex offenders to be on school buses. now, this new law does allow video cameras to be installed on buses and it also increases penalties for drivers who pass stopped buses. a major change is coming to catholic university. starting in the fall, incoming freshmen will be living in single sex dorms. he says he hopes the change will reduce binge drinking and casual hook-ups. only freshman will initially be affected but eventually all of the dorms will become single sex. the new superintendent of montgomery count way public ability to press a button and he can terminate this stock almost overnight. >> reporter: but despite the concerns, the buzz surrounding pandora's ipo remains upbeat and traders are anxious to see how cell phones can cause cancer. finnish researchers looked at the location of brain tumors among cell phone users. they found that the tumors were not clustered within the range of the radiation but
