Wee going to help all students get to the ultimate o hutel comf graduating high school preparedd for success after high school,ho then we need to recognize someoe schools are going to need morego of our attention, more of our resources and more of or support. The question for you when you have issues like that theres still disparity across the district some schools to other schools you have the mayor coming out talking about Charter Schools and wanting more of walk abiltiity typeonces p osition nfos likespare scyou ki. Youve on board recently. Youve had a chance to visito vt with schools. Oo. Youve talked with parents anddp schools. What do you prioritize now forrr you now as theitiz leader of dcd schools now that youve been able to see a little bit as toso whats going on here . Well, so theres a lot theree i mean, i have prioritizedorited getting out and listening tonint people but the issue accelerating achievement and addressing opportunity gaps thaa persist in our schools, i mean, thats the issue for me. We want to make sure thatha families know that when theyn te send their students to ourur schools that theyre going toret get a great education and supported by someone who loveses them and cares about them, car believes in them, and thats mys focus to make sure thatehat everything we do is communicating that expectation. Because is there room in other schools to disburse eithere eite disburse students or putse s students in a school buildinguin thats not being used orse facility in the district thats not being used so that they the dont have to be subjected to bed bug bites or seeing rodentss even one more day.
