This happened near 48th and dean. Police say for Public Safety one of the officers immediately had to shoot one of the dogs in the attack. The second dog then tried to attack the officer and was also shot. One of the control picked up the second animal to be euthanized per the owners request. A neighbor spoke to todays tmj4 and says earlier this week one of the dogs tried to attack her while she walked her two small dogs. Another neighbor says one of the dogs has made them nervous in the past so they avoid walking by this home. I checked the village of brown deers code of ordinances. Under their leash and muzzle section it says no person owning, harboring or having care of a vicious dog may permit such dog to go outside of its kennel or pen unless the dog is kept on a leash. A vicious dog outside the dogs kennel shall be muzzled police say the attack happened in the front yard of that home but no word yet if the home owner will face any fines or the cost of owning a car in milwaukee could double if county executive if county executive chris abele gets his way.
