Song. You got to make the most of summer because, its sort of like ending. A lot of school kids its already over in their minds. There was a neat bucket list of things to do to squeeze out a little bit more of what we can call summer on free people. Com. One of them i thought was good because, it seems like everybody at work lately has been bringing in like their tomatoes and their zucchini. Uhhuh. Ill take them. Because they are harvesting. One of our friends at work said she is harvesting like 15 pounds of tomatoes a day. There is Nothing Better than tomatoes from the garden. Just straight up, a little salt im ready to go. I totally agree. My grandma used to put a little sugar on them. If you never tried it, fresh sliced tomatoes with a little sugar on it is really good too. Mmm. But thats one of the things on a bucket list from free entire dinner at a farmers market. You know fruits and vegetables that are harvesting seasonal right now and then have a great dinner of all of that fresh stuff. Thats great thing i think to teach kids in shopping for local stuff. Yeah, what else . The other thing was do something at night to make the most because the days are shorter, so take a nap in a hammock, even a nice lawn chair. Grilled marshmallows, a little bonfire. Invite friends over. And i think its kind of a cool idea, have everybody bring something to ease the burden for say hey come over just bring chips and salsa or Something Like that. I like that because i feel like when you take advantage of those long night hours if you have done it a few times you dont feel, it doesnt feel as bad when they get shorter. You feel like i really did make the most of what we had this summer. Absolutely. Uhhuh. Squeeze every last bit out. Another idea was to have everyone over for a party and give it a theme like have everybody dress in white. Oh, we have done that before with friends. I have too with these strict dress codes i think especially guys are just like if you say are like wahwah. [laughter] i know, but people can come in like fun costumes. It is true because you have to sometimes go out and shop, then it adds another layer to the party. Of stress. Its true. A lot of people are heading back to school. The Public Schools i think a lot of them start tomorrow. Teacher gifts i think there is pressure in grade school. Because pinterest has all these ideas for what parents or kids should make and give to their teacher. You said that wasnt something your kids ever did. Seems like, i like the way they collect money and do a holiday gift and an end of the year gift. A lot of times it is Gift Certificates or something that the room parent knows the teacher wants. Right, i asked my friend too, shes in middle school, but she said no you dont obviously need to get a gift, but she said whatever you do dont ever bring food that your kids made because, teachers will not eat anything that the kids make. They throw it away. Your mom said that too. Yeah, my mom taught 4th grade for years and she is always like no homemade snacks. Because kids with their fingers in it. They wont eat it they throw it away. And their kitchen might have cats walking all over the counter or something, i dont know. She said if you feel so inclined Something Like a starbucks Gift Certificate or barnes and noble is probably the best thing. I think thats a great idea. Yeah. Do something to butter up the teacher. Shes like no junk. Start brown nosing right away if you want those as. And they have enough apples, right . Yeah. All right, before we move on with the show were going to take a look at our arts cameras plus picture of the day. Viewer Morgan Miller captured this really cool show of her enjoying a beautiful day. Theres hannah, angie, marissa, julia and mickey. Thats a cool shot. Thats awesome. And all looking fantastic in a bikini i might add. What a fun summer shot. Im going to suggest frame it for everyone in that picture as an awesome summer memory. Thats super cool. All right, first up this labor day morning, one of our favorite musicians Mike Mangione has a singer song writer connection to milwaukee along with a wide following of fans around the country. Now he is connecting with people in a new way. Mike now has his own podcast. It is called time in the mystery. He shares the stories of public figures, their career, their inspiration, their success, their failures. Were super excited he is doing something new that means he is back here chatting with us here on the Morning Blend. We havent seen you in a while so we miss you. I miss you too. We needed a little dose of you. Yeah. I only come in small doses. [laughter] its good to be here. Youre not going to sing for us today are you . Sing. You will do whatever . All right then you have to come back and sing for us another time. Oh, for sure. I feel like you cant sing without a hat on. Can you sing without a hat . Um, yes. Not as well. When i was getting ready for today, i was like what do i wear . Yeah. I cant be the guy with a hat just, sitting here hanging out on the couch . I was a little nervous, to be honest, but i think my wife helped me. It looks good. Lets talk about the cool stuff you have going on. Tell us about this new podcast. Time. I just, i have been listening to podcasts. I had this realization one night when i was driving like i can do this. Like i know amazing people i have met in the past 10, 15 years so why dont i sit down and have conversations with them . So i did my very first one in june with a guy named ronnie cox. He was in robo cop and deliverance. He is the guy playing the guitar forward i just brought my recording equipment and i pulled every favor with every decently well known person i know and their friends i started getting having people ask their friends and stuff so. I love jim gaffigan, im a big fan of his work. Do you find that people thats his wife, right . Yeah, jeannies actually is the one i have gotten to know jeannie a little bit. Her family, they are all from milwaukee so, she hooked me up with that. That was great because it was both of them. The couple you know to hear her side because shes so active in the career. Its not his, its their career. So it was great. Do you find that people are open and they want to tell their story . They want to be heard . Something a little bit deeper about why they do what they do or you know their motivation and their passion . I think and i interview everything from authors, athletes, heavy on the musicians, heavy on the artists, foley, whos farleys friend, the motivational speaker. Chris farley yeah, he did the motivational speaker. Yeah, hes the real matt foley. He named it after his friend matt foley who is a diocesan priest. There he is. That was a couple days ago. Is he here . No he is in arlington heights, hes a diocesan priest. He was a rugby player at marquette with chris and, actually a huge spiritual friend for farley. Thats what, like my conversation with matt foley was so great was just hearing you know are both marquette grads they have their jesuit connection, but what i didnt know is chris farley was actually deeply religious and you know, obviously there is things we know about his life, but what i think is more beautiful is the conversation i had with his dear friend matt foley is that tender side that you would occasionally see in movies, but was very real. Thats sweet. You also talked to brian announcer. Was that a good convo . Oh, yeah. Stepping out of your zone a little bit with musicians and artists in talking to brian. I have gotten to know brian a little bit so i was comfortable. Some of the conversations i dont really know the person so when i sit down i just try to act cool. That always goes through my head, try to act cool. But no with brian we know each other so i was a little more relaxed. What was so unique with brian, first of all the interview took place in miller park. Were sitting in the press booth. It was an empty field which i have but he is an artist. I didnt know that going in. Through the conversation just discussing his research of player history, of game history, his research, all of the color stuff he adds, and all of the while being in tune with how the game is going at the moment and thinking where he wants to land with what he is saying, he is literally, not literally, but it is almost like he is taking all of that information is like color on a palette and he is in realtime trying to paint a hes impressive. Its amazing. Its a gift. He has a gift. During the conversation i was like, youre a storyteller. And just in a different medium. Its a really neat way to describe what is going on for him and how he is trying to portray that and give that to other people. Really cool i just think this is atmosphere. Your faceback page i love this picture. I have known shaun for a couple years. When i asked him i said i want to talk to you for a podcast. He was like all right, but were going to do in my car. So i picked, he was doing a photo shoot for his new record that just released this month and he picked me up and he is like were going to go do tetanus shots. I was like what . Yeah i got to go get a shot im going to buy you a shot. [laughter] so our entire conversation is driving around minneapolis looking for tetanus shots. That is not the shot i wanted. Exactly. But really quick to answer the question, people do like to talk about this stuff because interviews can be so pr like there are certain questions to ask, but in this podcast we talk like why, what is the passion . When tiff and i were getting ready for todays show we both said we werent surprised you were doing this. Because i think there is something about you, a certain genuineness or sincerity and im not surprised at all that people want to share or tell their story. So good for you to adding this to your can people find these clips on your website . Yes, if you go to my website Mike Mangione. Com you can find the podcasts there. You can also subscribe on itunes or any podcast app like stitcher. And welcome back to the Morning Blend where we want to know what is in your makeup bag with merle norman. When it comes to makeup your style usually falls into one of two categories, its warm or its cool. But this time of the year the fall color collection means mixing the two and creating a little balance and harmony. Renee and beth are merle norman studio owners both here to show off the new collection for your eyes, cheeks and lips. Great to see you guys. Were so excited to be here. We have not only fun colors to share with everybody, but really fun products that go on uniquely and stay on, which is awesome. Lets talk a little bit this is officially the start of fall. I think everyone is thinking fall because of back to school, labor day. You know, when we start wearing fall colors the fabrics change, the textures of the fabrics change and like you said the colors change. So you want to mix up your makeup a little bit to do the same thing. This collection is called bohemian rhapsody. That gives you that idea of collection does. Because we have a mix of powder and creams and warm and cool and there is no rules. I like that so lots of the warm and cool tones being mixed. Theres smoky grays, truffley browns and rich burgundies. I love those words. I almost want to eat them, right . I know you have this brandnew shadow stick that fits into the bohemian new color scheme. We are super excited about this product. It is waterproof, its creamy, its easy to blend. You can use them alone, you can they are amazing. They take about 15 seconds to set up and then they will stay on all day. Okay. These are all the different colors you have right there we were seeing. They come in like a pencil form. Yup they come like this and so you dont have to have it up very high. They go on very creamy. Oh, yeah look at that. And they also blend really well. Okay. Show another color on your hand that is a lot lighter. Just to add contrast, like maybe this one is called watercolor. Uhhuh. Look at that. So there is five mattes and five luminous colors. Okay. Whats the color that tiff has on . Im going to give them time to get a shot of hers. I put on this one right before the segment right over the eye shadow i already had on. And i think its beautiful. Completely popped the eye. Uhhuh. Yeah. Close your eyes for a second. Its like a green. Uhhuh. I just put it right on top of th e and she didnt blend at all which was kind of fun. I am loving our concealer brush for blending these products so you can really diffuse the color. Oh, yeah. Unfortunately now i have to have two brushes. I need one for my light, one for dark. [laughter] and you did something kind of cool before you basically just rubbed it because yours is set and it doesnt come off on your fingers. It doesnt. Now i have to pick a finger that i didnt just do this with, so, and i can rub it. Hard too. It doesnt come off. No. Thats awesome. Its wonderful. Its really going to stay all day. And there are how many colors in the shadow sticks . I really like the one at the top thats kind of like that creamy beige kind of neutral. I have that one on. The one on top is almond cookie. No, its glow. Almond cookie is down here. [laughter] dont fight you guys. Dont fight. Well as the luminous colors which is super fun. Lets talk a bit about cheeks and lips. We have two beautiful cheek colors, one of them is wild ginger. That one were going to be keeping on as a permanent color. Okay. The other one is mauvey buff, and they are both pictured over here. Uhhuh. Mauvey buff i think is beautiful. I have on wild ginger today, is that what you have on . I have mauvey buff. To fit in with all of the colors you already have. Thats one of the big tones that is also going to be for fall is those mauves right . Mauves, burgundies. Is it lighter lips, is that true . Theyre matte, very matte lips. I know you guys like these lip pencils. Love those lip pencils. They are so convenient, right . They have a lip liner on one side and lip color on the other. Very unusual for fall we have a beautiful pink. We dont usually see pinks in fall. But it has that mauvea really pretty. I love that. Im going to have you hold that so they can get a shot of it too. What is the color on her lips, do you know . Thats beautiful. I think its the spiced cider. Is that the one youre putting on your hand right now . Look at that right there. Thats the spiced cider. This is the one she mentioned is that pink. This is the neutral tender kiss. I like that. Yeah. You are seeing a very matte lip and so versatile. It seems like those are colors you can really can wear with anything you put on. Really any of these almost anybody could wear. And were still seeing a lot of contours. If you look at the picture of the model youre still going to see contour with bronzer and still a little bit of luminous, that strobing we talked about earlier in the spring. We love visiting your two salons. You in Brookfield Renee and you in oconomowoc beth. It was super fun because i think you are here so often talking products and people wonder what is it like to visit and get a consultation or one of your express mini facials and to be able to see inside and see customers having those consultations is great. Good, we were so glad you came. Was it fun . We had a blast. It was fun for your staff too. It is fun to show off home. Its nice to come in and get a little consultation. See what kind of colors. Its fun to try things, you like when you try things in the store. So pop into one of the merle norman studios near you brookfield square, hales corner between grange and edgerton, oconomowoc and west bend. Thats merlenorman. Com for more info online. Thanks girls. Thank you after the break, is sitting behind the desk for work not your cup of tea . Up next, how a single mother of two found the courage to go back to school and find a new career. And if you would like to see more Morning Blend you can check out streaming video on our website themorningblend. Com. And welcome back. Well managing a fulltime job and two kids alone is hard enough. And taking the leap to go back to school takes some guts. Thats exactly what our next guest did. Were here with kim hall, a graduate of therapeutic massage. And is now a massage therapist. Were also here with christy nyemack from Herzing University. Good morning ladies. Thanks for being here. I think reading through your life at the time of doing school is a feat in itself. Youre a single mom of two, working fulltime and you decided to go back to school. What made you decide to go from a career you had to wanting to do Massage Therapy . I think at that point in my life, i just realized that sitting behind a desk was not what i wanted. And i knew that i get one shot at my life and i think i wanted to show my kids that they didnt that they could go for something bigger, something they wanted to do. Something they are passionate about, right . Passionate about, absolutely. How old were your kids at the time you were doing school . Oh, wow that was three, four years ago, so 14 and 10. Those are some tough years. It was tough with them. Yes, and trying to manage and im single and i didnt get to, i didnt have a husband to say, can you pick up the kids from school . But it was my family and friends that actually helped me. How was your experience at herzing . One thing we hear about people that christy brings a lot is that it is like a family environment and it truly is working with your lifestyle to be able to complete your goals. My first day meeting with christy i think i cried. She, she told me the process. It was really, i was in my 40s when i went back to school, so, i think she made me extremely comfortable. The process was comfortable and really felt like i was at home. They gave me the courage and empowerment to do it so it was amazing experience. I love that. I love the fact you went back in your 40s, that you had these teenage kids, you were working fulltime. For you now youre working fulltime as a massage therapist. You just left your other career as well. I did. Do you love it . I do. It was really scary and i remember one thing that my mom used to tell me is if you are uncomfortable, youre growing. Needed to do. I needed to be, i needed to continue growing, so i did it. I love that. Dont you hear, i mean youve got to love hearing these kind of stories because people come to you with a glimmer in their eye, i really want this career change, i want to do something that matters or something that i feel passionate about and they get started in the program. Yeah, i mean probably one of the reasons i love my job because i get to meet with people and a lot of times people are freaked out in the beginning. They know they want this, but they are just, they cant really actualize it yet. And the fun part for me is kind of helping them through that process and getting them and then, you know, when you get to come back a few years later and see somebody doing really well and has changed their whole life and are happy about it thats really fulfilling. How does the Program Start for someone . Say someone comes to you and says im in a career that is unfulfilling right now. I have this life situation, but i really want to go back to school. They just come in and meet with us. Were going to ask you a lot of questions. We find out where are you at, what are all the things, what might be the best fit for you then kind of move you through the process if thats what you want to do. Love it. Is it true you still go back for massages . I do. You cant give yourself a massage. No. [laughter] i think thats so great. When somebody comes to the campus do they get a tour because there is brookfield campus thats where you went. Correct. Did you feel like the hands is being able to be in the classroom, getting the hands on experience. Is that really helpful for you . Oh, yeah. Thats how i work. I was not that book person. I needs the hands on. I think thats why this program is so wonderful for someone like me. Yeah. Absolutely get up, move around, no more desk for you . No more desk for me. Really no more desk for me. Its hard to handle right now, i mean, in a good way. And what do your kids say about your accomplishments . Proud of me. As a mom thats what i want. I love that. They learn from watching and learn from example so you know there going to follow their dreams, follow their passions as well. When do classes start or can people come and meet with you now and get enrolled for upcoming sessions . Absolutely. Anytime, and classes start in august and in september. So plenty of chances. Wonderful, thanks for sharing your story. Thanks for having me. Its great. Right now if you call and mention the Morning Blend when you call Herzing University you if you mention the Morning Blend. Say you saw kim and christy here, mention them, you will get your enrollment fee waived. Heres where the brookfield campus is. Or you can call them to schedule an appointment at 262 6491710 or toll free at 800 5960724. Herzing. Edu brookfield is the website for more. Thanks so much you guys. Thank you. Really appreciate it. After the break how a new breathing device can determine if your metabolism is firing at Russ Feingold so, what do you girls want to be when you grow up . Girl 1 i want to be an astronomer. Girl 2 i want to be a doctor Russ Feingold do you think you should be paid the same as boys . Girl 1 definitely. Girl 2 yep Russ Feingold well, i raised my two girls right here, and they agree with you and so do i. The same job. Ill work for equal pay for women, and for paid leave so parents can care for a sick family member. Discrimination against any women is flat out wrong. What you think of that . Girls good call feingold im Russ Feingold welcome back to the Morning Blend. This guy joe knows weight loss is not about points, its about eating right and its about having the support to do it. Our next guest is celebrating her one Year Anniversary helping people reach their weight loss goals. She says everyone is different and each should have get real results. Were here now with registered dietician, cheri stoka, owner of weighless md and wellness. Good morning to you. Great to see you. Look how happy he looked in that photo. That beaming smile. You guys do so many things at your weight loss clinic. Youre an integrated medicine and functional Nutrition Wellness clinic that helps people approach their health that way. How do you explain that difference to people . Well we really, when we look wanted to differentiate myself right away because my background is nutrition. So, nutrition is the foundation of health and wellness anyway. So, we definitely take that approach and really try to get to know the whole person. Really, what is going on in their life . Do they have stress in their life, are they not sleeping well, we really try to differentiate ourselves. I like that cheri, its not one size fits all. Its not one plan for everybody who walks in your door. You do a full analysis and really try to understand what the persons needs and issues are so you can get the right program for them. And really, uncovering those issues is a lot of what you want to do in order to make them not just successful in losing the weight, but also keeping it off. Yes, absolutely. We offer many different testing in order to do that. So, unlike some of the other into certain nutrient, possible nutrient deficiencies. Some people come in and they literally do have real challenges losing weight. They are exercising, they are eating well, but now we can take it the next step and look at their metabolism. So, before we didnt, we always just did a calculation, because thats kind of how we are trained, but now we can actually do a breathing device to check their metabolism. Wow. Thats pretty cool. I think you know, like you said, some people cant lose weight. They are doing the right things and they are not losing it. Maybe its nutrient deficiencies, theyve got cravings theyre not able to control, their medications are overloaded in their body. You really asked the why. You got into this business because its your passion, right . It wasnt to make a ton of money, it was really about what you love to do for people. Absolutely. I think passion drives a lot of decisions that people make and into, been wanting to do it for a very long time. And i think for me, you know, as a dietician, i could have went into private practice and did nutrition counseling, but i knew i had to, i had to diversify it. I wanted to offer other things because it really, for people it is a challenge. You know its difficult to not only lose weight, but to maintain it and they need other support, you know, so whether that be appetite suppressants or maybe an int move things along. So thats why i went to medical weight loss. I like that. We have pictures of other happy clients which is really fun. Im sure that is rewarding for you to see people in the beginning, they have this goal, they are frustrated, theyve maybe tried a lot of other things, and then like krista for example she lost 37 pounds. Thats awesome. Yeah. Changes the demeanor when they walk in. They are different people. How about gary. Gary 54 pounds gary is a rock star. He was just like, focused and it was, you know every week he would show up and it was 4 to 6 pounds, he was crazy. Thats great. Awesome. One of the things you do i love joes smile. He is so contagious. You can tell hes just a happy man. You work with things like essential oils. You do Grocery Store tours, cooking demos. This is really a lifestyle change for peo absolutely. I mean we want to look at the full picture because, again, you know, weight loss is not about coming in and putting someone on a diet if you dont teach and give the tools, they will just regain and go back to kind of where they were. I always give the analogy it is like getting answers to a test. Its the immediate gratification, satisfaction. Got an a but if you didnt learn the material then its going to be difficult to actually utilize i love your philosophy about understanding the science of food, how it affects our body, but the way you help people with shopping, as tiff mentioned, the cooking, the preparing. A lot of it is the organization and making a list and all of those things, and those are things you help people tackle. Yes. Absolutely. Well its funny because im the first one to admit i know a lot about food, but i dont know how to cook. How, you know, can you give me some ideas for recipes and im like no i really cant. So thats why my next step now, im looking for a personal chef to help with doing those demos and going into the homes and really teaching people how to cook and just to save time and save money. Wonderful. Absolutely. Thats great. Its so great you have a wonderful special for Morning Blend viewers right now. All initial assessments right now are free, which is 119 value. Thats your body fat analysis, the weight, the bp measurements, value for free. Also 150, its or, sorry, one or the other, 150 off your hcg six week program. Today almost 5 and a half million americans are living for the people who love them and care for them, it can be a lonely and exhausting journey. There is a care center in waukesha that is giving those caregivers a break by providing a place for seniors that offer socialization, and services. Nicole is an lpn with the Curative Care Senior Center. Shes here with more on some wonderful programs that they have. Good to have you here. Thank you for having me. I think this is great. We talk about being a caregiver it is something that is a privilege, but also very family members. It is exhausting. We find that the majority of our families are the only caregiver so the best thing about our program is the loved ones get time away and we help them thrive, but the families also get to thrive by still working, taking time to themselves, getting to go places and just have that time. Yeah, because i think so often when you are care giving you get caught up in the need, that fact that you are needed so much and you forget that you have to take that break to give be a good caregiver. So lets talk a little bit about the Senior Center that is in waukesha you Curative Care Senior Center. What are some of the benefits to having your loved one in a place like that . The benefits are besides the respite, we help them keep thriving. We keep them socializing. We get them active. We give them choices to still be independent in their life. Some people have their license taken away. We give them these choices at our center to pick the activities pick the goals they want to participate in and it gives them a lot of independence and freedom still. It looks like you are also doing physical activities. You say active and social. What are some of the things you are talking about when you say keep them active, keep them social, keep the memory going as we can, what types of things are there . Every morning we do an exercise and walking challenge. So they walk the parameter and we do chair exercises. We partner with Carroll College so their physical therapy students come in the fall and spring and they take them on outings to the y and bowling. We do a lot of indoor games, bowling, bocci ball, washer toss. Just things to keep them moving. We do a lot of reminiscence so we have boxes. Lets say we have a holiday box they pull out the item and it gets them to thinking about memories they had so it memory boosts. Is like an ornament or Something Like that . Ornaments, cookie cutter, it could be a scent it helps reminisce just about things that mental socialization, really keeping them a little sharper, keeping some of those memories flowing. Thats a really smart way to do that. Yeah. And at the end of this month were doing a wedding celebration. We invited all of the families to bring wedding photos with a story. So we put them on the board and at the end ever the month well say do you remember your wedding day and well have information to say whether it was warm. That will help, memory boosts and bring back his memory. I love that you do that. I think thats a really neat way to share o refreshed as well. One thing you do is whirlpool bathing. Why is that important . What does it do for the body . What does it do for the patients you have there . The nice thing is our certified nursing assistants give these baths and it doesnt only help with circulation, but helps get in the crooks and crannies they maybe they dont get in the shower. Its relaxing. Some people might not need a whole lot of help. Some people might need help washing their hair. Some people need help getting in its nice we do have some clients in wheelchairs we can still get them in, its great for their skin. Its just really good for them. How about dietary needs . A lot of people will come in with special medications, special dietary needs because of those medications or just because of how their bodies changed. Do you have nurses on staff that take care of that as well . Yes, as i am the nurse there i do blood sugar and insulin, but some of my staff is certified to give medications and all of my staff is cross trained with all of the dietary precautions, so lets say if have her food cut and she likes it a certain way or had a stroke and everything has to be on one side, were very proficient in learning the clients so when they come in i can tell if they like their coffee black. I know where to put their silverware. So, were cross trained to do a good job like that. Why would everything have to be on one side if someone has a stroke . If they have a stroke and have paralysis on one side, they can only use their right hand. So you dont want to put the silverware and milk on this side because while were passing plates they might struggle so attention to those Little Things. I think its those Little Things that mean so much to the family too. You know when youre looking and i can imagine when you are looking to place your loved one somewhere, have them go somewhere, will this help a nursing home, keep them out of a nursing home setting or how does it fit that niche . Financial debt can be overwhelming and many people are afraid to file for bankruptcy because of the repercussions on r credcore. But our next guest says he can help you with life after bankruptcy even boosting your score to 720 points. Joining us now is jamie miller. He wrote this book the truth about bankruptcy in wisconsin. And its already helped hundreds of people. Welcome back to the Morning Blend. Good to see you again. Thank you, its great to be here. Its sad there is a need for a book like this, but the truth is there is. You wrote your first book the truth about bankruptcy, well talk about starting over in a second. What was the reasoning behind it . Was there such a big need for you really had to help them understand it . People have a lot of questions about what bankruptcy is, what their bankruptcy alternatives are. And we were getting questions on a daily basis and i thought i would create a book and give people an opportunity to get that in their homes, read more about it, and be more educated about bankruptcy before they came into our office. What do you think the biggest misconception is in your experience with people as it relates to bankruptcy . I like bankruptcy is a great solution for everybody, but it is a solution for some people. I think the biggest misperception is that it permanently damages their credit. Most people that come see us already have bad credit. Were able to take them through several different processes whether it is bankruptcy, debt negotiation, debt settlement, to really help with the end goal which is bringing their credit score back. Uhhuh. Debt can feel like an insurmountable mountain i think i know it causes a hot of depression, it causes a lot of arguing, fighting, problems in personal life and relationships. You guys really hyper focus on after bankruptcy, people have already filed. Where do you walk them through, how do you get them back to that credit score of 720 which is your goal to get them there as quickly as possible . Exactly. I have been doing this since 1993 and, we really have been focused over the years of trying to figure out a process to help people get their credit score back. And we finally within the last couple years, were able to them to discharge their debts in a bankruptcy, then the second step is making sure that their Credit Report is clean. Thats really the most important thing because, people file bankruptcy today, and then six months from now look at their credit and it still looks the same. So we clean up their Credit Report. Once we have their Credit Report clean we enroll them in a program called 7 steps to 720. Its a credit Restoration Program that is going to get their credit score to 720 within about 18 to 24 months after a thats really quick. You wrote the book the truth about bankruptcy, we just talked about that in wisconsin. You have given this book away and sold more than 2500 copies which is incredible. But right now youre offering this book free to people who call because you have copies to give away. So in the next two hours if you call this phone number 414 3766363, you can get a free copy of the book. I will repeat the phone number 414 3766363. Now as tiff mentioned you focus on after the bankruptcy. You have written this book starting over. There are those seven steps that people can do. Is it actually i would think very, gives people a lot of peace mind to have somebody with your expertise to walk them through the process rather than trying to clean up their credit score on their own. Yeah its very comforting for people to know that were going to be there after the bankruptcy and all of this post credit counseling is no additional charge. That was my goal because i wanted them to be able to file bankruptcy and then not be burdened by incurring more debt to be able to improve their credit as time goes forward. Uhhuh. They do these online courses, get through the seven steps. That whole portion is not an additional fee. What for them can they expect . What can people who file bankruptcy expect in terms of being able to buy a home or do different things, have credit card again . Are those things all possible in that 18 to 24 months . Its absolutely possible. What we see, getting a 720 credit score is the difference between a 250 a month car payment versus a 500 a month car payment. That is lifechanging. Yeah it is. What kind of reaction do you get from people who have a credit score, especially after going through what i would think is somewhat traumatic, filing have their credit score reestablished to 720 or better . One of the greatest things that technology has brought is Immediate Response from clients. So, when i look at my Google Reviews and i was talking to my wife yesterday and i was reading her a google review that came in yesterday of somebody who filed bankruptcy about 8 months ago and they were just able to buy a car and they were able to get a nice car instead of an older car that they were going to have problems with. And that was very gratifying. Yeah i bet. I think its great. Is there any one tip you can give people who maybe want just in general to raise their credit score . Is there any one tip you tell people if youre going to do one thing this is what it is . I would say get your Credit Report and know exactly what it on your Credit Report because when someone comes in or we look at a Credit Report there is always errors on the Credit Report. Uhhuh. Is there a magic number for credit cards . Is it three . A number of credit cards . Because the more credit cards you have, the more it impacts your debt to income ratio. Because even though you have one credit card with a thousand dollar credit limit with no balance on it, thats still affecting your debt to income ratio. Interesting. Thats interesting. Yeah. Magic number, there you go. Heres how you can get your copy of starting over. You can call for the giveaway at 414 3766363. They are going to give it away to the first close to 100 people.
