He recently pleaded not guilty and is currently awaiting trial in may. Burfoot is accused of using his position as a city official to make business deals for personal gain. As he awaits trial he is not allowed to speak with any potential witnesses some of them include city Staff Members and city council members. Which makes some wonder how could he possibly effectively do his job . The group says they d want his lawyer there at all times 30 36 if hes going to take mr sacks in his office on permanent retainer we d be happy other than that we want resignation and we ll take nothing less than his immediate leave of absence.
