Two people are dead after a massive fire destroyed a Middlesex County marina. Tonight police are calling it arson. The fire started around 430 this morning and firefighters worked tirelessly for 4 hours to put it out. The flames consumed two buildings, and 21 boats. A friend says the people who died were sleeping on their boat. Spokesperson says investigators think someone set the marina on fire because of evidence they found at the scene but they aren t saying what it is. Police will release the victim s identities once they notify their family. The man accused of murdering Prince William county Police Officer Ashley Guindon is now formally charged with the crime. Guindon was fatally shot saturday afternoon while responding to a Domestic Violence call in woodbridge. 32yearold Ronald Hamilton is accused of shooting guindon, and veteran officers jesse hempen and David Mckeown as they approached the front door of his house. The suspect is also accused of murdering his wife before police got to the scene. Hamilton who appeared in court today is an active Duty Army Staff Sergeant assigned to the pentagon. The commonwealth s Attorney Says he was convicted of assault in another state in 2007. The body of officer Ashley Guindon was transported tonight from a funeral home to a memorial chapel.
