Police are using flashlights to collect evidence right now and this is right next to the victim and suspects home off to the left. Police have been going in and out of this home all morning. There are a lot of cars and crime scene investigators moving around the property. A concerned Family Member called police and found three adults shot to death. One victim is giovanni and they were visitors. Police arrested the wife crystal in stanley and charged shes now being held at the Gaston County jail right notch without bond and investigators have not revealed what a motive may be in this case. Crystal gambino was due in court later on today. We spoke with neighbors the area and coming up ill tell you what they told us about the family and the commotion they heard hours before Police Arrived here at the house. He was arrested in january two weeks after he killed Jesse Campbell in his home. He used to work at the greenhouse but police have not released a motive. Police arent sure if she drove herself or was dropped off but police say she is talking with them. She had a head injury so its life threatening but again she is talking and alert. Breaking news from Gaston County since 4 30 investigators are working to identify two victims in a triple homicide. They arrested a woman and charged her with murdering the third victim, her husband. Channel 9 spoke to neighbors about the terrifying crime. Angela hong is live on the well john neighbors told us yesterday morning they heard what sounded like someone using a vegetable hammer. Police are saying now those are likely gunshots and we have been out all night for hours as they are collecting evidence on the property focusing on an area in the yard that is truck as well. And this happened around 8 last night when investigators found giovanni and two other victims dead. Police are working to positively identify them right now. Crystal gambino was arrested in stanley and charged had we are husbands murder being held without bond in Gaston County jail and due in court later today. Neighbors heard a lot of noises coming from the house yesterday but they didnt think much of it. My husband started to walk over there to see if everything was okay and im just glad now that he didnt and its scary to know that Something Like and we also learned that the couple had a nineyearold daughter who police say was not involved in the crime. Some fraternities and sororities are taking extra precautions after a confirmed case of the mumps on campus. Some have canceled meetings as a precautionary measure. Students received a letter from the school yesterday. The student stayed off campus for seven days but students we spoke with say they are still worried it could spread. The thought of diseases you cant even detect for longer than two weeks is pretty terrifying. State Officials Say there are now five confirms cases of of the confirmed three are in mecklenburg and two are in iredale county. A private school will be closed again today because of dozens of teachers developing symptoms of neuro virus. Health Officials Say nearly 50 teachers and Staff Members became sick after jersey mikes sub shop catered a lunch in there friday. No students were at the school. Crews cleaned it to prevent from spreading. Jersey mikes has not reached out back. Crews accused of firing at least 50 shots in the middle of uptown. They were targeting an entertainer with a van parked out of the hyatt hotel sunday morning. Two people were asleep inside the van but were not hit. A woman was parked right behind the van. And theres a bullet hole right there. Im glad there werent nobody with us because they could have it came out right there. Suspects were all in town for the ciaa. There were extra Police Officers uptown but this happened shortly before 5 00 a. M. After most of the officers were gone. This is the third year in a row with violence during the ciaa weekend. Channel 9 went to charlotte leaders to find out what they are doing to keep people safe. They dont want violence to over shadow the good the ciaa brings to the city. The entertainers they are inviting and how they are ticketing people. We are going to double down and work even harder to think about how is it this happened and what can we do to help prevent it. This year the ciaa expanded the number of official events and the city met with venue managers about safety at the unofficial parties. They believe it helped since there were no issues at the party themselves. Approving grant money to pay for body cameras. Will help pay for body cameras in the Field Operations and court divisions. That grant is worth 25,000, nearly 50,000 from concealed hand gun permits will help pay for the rest. The naacp will hold a press conference about a deadly officer involved shooting in raleigh. 300 people lit candles and marched in memory of akeel denkins last night. Black lives matter.
