The southbound lanes are still shut down, so theyre using the northbound lanes for twoway traffic here. Well take a look at t coming up on 6 03, a major story breaking overnight. The Washington Post reporting that then senator Jeff Sessions spoke with russias ambassador twice last year. A spokesman confirmed the meeting took place, but says it was part of his duties as the Senate Armed Services committee. Erika has the latest now. Senator sessions says he never met in any russian officials to discuss issues of the campaign and hes calling the reports false. Sessions was an early supporters of president s campaign and served as one of his top Foreign Policy advise hers. What we know is one of those meetings with the Russian Ambassador took place in Sessions Senate office if september. All of this has led to some democrats calling on sessions to resign as attorney general or at least recuse himself from the investigation into russias interference in the election. Right now, local and federal officials are searching for bodies in Holmes Run Park. This is in the alexandria section of Fairfax County. Yesterday, polic road park but did not find anything. Well, eun, we have been tracking recent gang related arrests in two deadly missing persons cases here in Northern Virginia and this continued search for remains may turn up more gang ties. The focus here will be Holmes Run Park. It does include the 6,000 block of prader place, a residential area. Homicide gang and fbi investigators are among the many on this case. No word yet so far on was been found. As you mentioned, the search did include lemon road park. Nothing there was found. But these park searches could be critical for police. They have been before. After all, a few years ago, the remains of two people were found in the area of Holmes Run Park. Both said to have been brutally murdered, we are told. This also comes on the heels of a several suspects were rounded up in that case. He also is set to have had gang ties. That also link police to the case of alexandra reyes, the 15yearold Montgomery County girl who was found dead in springfield, virginia, last month. Her family did tell us that she had been a target on the gang ms13. That has not been confirmed yet by Fairfax County police. Now, the good news here is that the trail, the bike trail that runs alongside beach drive has been in bad condition for a long time. As part of this project now, this phase, theyre going to revamp that trail.
