Police want to make sure everybody gets home safely. They started doing things differently in five night light safety zones. We are on connecticut avenue. Theres temporary lighting thats been put in place here just to make things brighter during this period of time. We are talking until 3 00 in the morning. Also, they are going to be increasing Police Patrols in the safety zones to make sure everyone gets home safely. Take a look at this map here. We are going to show you the neighborhoods impacted by the program. H street, chinatown, dupont circle, u street, adams morgan. We are talking streets like connecticut avenue, vermont avenue, 14th street. Places, specifically, where folks grab taxis or hail down the ride share vehicles, just to make sure everyone is out there being safe, getting home okay. The Program Actually starts today.
