Back to class with plans in place for threats like these. On monday morning more than 100 people here at the Jewish Day School were evacuated. Lets take you now to a map. One of three local campuses threatened including the Jewish Day School in annapolis and the charles e. Smith Jewish Day School in rockville. These hoax bomb threat calls came in almost back to back on monday morning. One about 9 17. Then about 15 minutes later charles e. Smith in rockville and closer to 10 00 a. M. Another was called. Authorities swept the campuses for explosives. None were found and no reports of injuries. Two did evacuate but the smith campus did not saying its security remained ramped up. We have been increasing security. Weve of measures. We have local police who are here at dropoff and pickup every day and thats new this year. The hateful acts have also been condemned by the trump administration. Yesterday the White House Press secretary said no one should be afraid to follow the religion of their choosing freely and openly. Wilsons High School Principal is asking parents to talk to their children about what could have been a dangerous situation. Yesterday a 16yearold was arrested for bringing a loaded gun to the school in northwest. The student was stopped at a Security Check point on campus before heading to class. There is some hope this morning for a maryland family searching for their missing 4yearold. This is matthew carington. He went missing from Southern Maryland back in october. The fbi says the 4yearold was spotted over the weekend in birmingham, alabama. Investigators believe hes been in that area since shortly after he went missing. New developments this morning in the search for a missing Montgomery County woman. This is Surveillance Video of 18yearold jessica revas leaving her job saturday night. She hasnt been seen since. There are reports that shes been with family in another state, but Montgomery County police have not been able to confirm that. Her family here fares for her safety because her 15yearold cousin was recently murdered. Ra a labor dispute is heating up that could impact your ride to metro. The Transit Agency is trying to limit the number of hours certain members can work to cut down on tired bus and train operators. In response, Union Members are threatening to leave metro short staffed by refusing to work voluntary overtime hours. Metro general manager issued a stern response saying metro may bring in outside contractors to fill shifts. Metro and the union are in the middle of negotiating a new contract. Virginia is choosing not to add some toll booths along i95. The state had the option of adding the tolls along the highway from fredericksburg to the North Carolina line because of a federal exemption. This week a maryland mother will finally be reunited with her daughters after spending a year in prison on the other side of the world. She was recently released from a prison in gambia in west africa. On thursday shell finally board a flight back to the u. S. She was arrested last april near an Anti Government demonstration. The wife and mother was sentenced to three years in prison, a place her father says no one should be forced to stay in. She has two daughters back here at home and they say theyre looking forward to catching up on mother daughter bonding time when their mom comes home. We are waiting to see how the white house will respond to Kellyanne Conways potential ethics violation. That response is due today. The office of government ethics sent a letter to the white house lawyers earlier this month requesting the results of the investigation and any action taken against conway. Here it is the funl day of february and were talking about another opportunity for strong to Severe Weather just out to our west and tomorrow, march 1st, the beginning of spring, the spring equinox doesnt come up till the 20th but from a weather perspective, in case you havent noticed, spring is essentially already here and our risk for potentially strong storms comes tomorrow. The Storm Prediction Center out in norman, oklahoma, has issued a slight risk for our area tomorrow and an enhanced risk of deveer weather back out to our Mother Nature for the next 48 hours or so. Today, what do you need . A little bit of a light jacket early this morning and have your umbrella ready to go for later today. Not raining out there. The commute in will be dry. The commute home later on today likely to be wet. Rain showers out in senatety only about 11 or 12 hours and that puts it in time for the afternoon or evening commute. Fair amount of sunshine early today, but then clouds thickening up this afternoon and after 3 00 or 4 00, rain chances become quite likely. Best chances for rain start between about 3 00 and 4 00 this afternoon and go up to about 9 00 or 10 00 this evening. Temperature wise, again, a little jacket early this morning. Temperatures in the 30s and 40s on your way out, but it will be a mild day. Into the mid to upper 60s today, but with a 60 chance of you getting wet later on this afternoon. For tomorrow, future weather starts out dry tomorrow, but then as we get into about between about 2 00 and 6 00 tomorrow an opportunity for a line of potentially strong storms to come on through.
