Noor zahi salman lived two hours from the crime scene in port st. Lucie with her husband and 3yearold child. Authorities also have talked with her family in northern california. And her fatherinlaw shed some insight into mateens possible state of mind. He said mateen applied to the Police Academy but was rejected and he had claimed that rejection was because he was muslim. So tt back to you. Other survivors recall playing dead as the shooter walked around repeatedly shooting people. They say the blood stains found inside the van did belong to gray. But in a win for the defense, the Police Detective testified he never saw the transport van make any abrupt stops.
