It happened on east capitol street around 8 15 last night. You can see smoke pouring out of an apartment. Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire. Now to the aftermath of the terror attacks in brussels. A tribute to the victims on sunday turned violent when a right wing group crashed the vigil. The metro lines that had been closed since the attacks happened reopened over the weekend except the station where the bombs went off. The airport will be closed until thursday. Over the weekend, police carried out 13 raids and arrested nine people. This morning a Taliban Splinter Group is claiming responsibility for an Easter Sunday bombing in pakistan. At least 65 people died there, the suicide bomber targeted christians celebrating easter at a park. Officials say the bombs went off near childrens rides there. More than 300 people were hurt. The government has declared three days of mourning following that attack. Today if you have an emergency, d. C. Ems crews may not be the ones taking you to the hospital. A third party Ambulance Service will start taking the calls today in the district. Amr Ambulance Company will deal with calls that are nonlife threatening and the not time sensitive. C. s fire chief gregory dean says its about efficiency and making the best use of the citys fire and ems crew. As of today, if you call 911 and an ambulance is requested, d. C. Fire and ems will be the first to respond. But if its termeded by the emts on that ambulance that your need is not critical or time sensitive, they will call for a private ambulance, a Company Called amr which has been ra about the city and those movements will be based on data concerning the number of calls in an area and traffic. And emts determine that you dont need apcritical transport, one of those amr ambulances will respond and take you to the hospital. Now, again, this is a private program, they will look at the data after a year and see if it works and if so, it could be the new paradigm in Emergency Response here in the city.
