Air France Flight 55 bound for paris from dulles was diverted to nova scotia last night after someone called in a bomb threat after takeoff. All 234 passengers got off at the airport there. They were checked out along with their luggage. The plane was inspected. Nothing found. Same situation aboard an air France Flight that left lax, los angeles, for paris. That flight made an Emergency Landing in Salt Lake City last night. 473 people on board. Authorities inspected the plane, passengers luggage and nothing found. Police in the district need your help after a deadly shooting in the northeast. Called to new york avenue around 10 30 yesterday morning where they found a man shot outside a motel. He was shot several times. He later died at the hospital. Police have not released the name of the victim and there is a 25,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest. Former boy scouts are suing the organization over allegations of sex abuse by a former scout master. The former scout master died two years ago. 17 men say Donald Dennis molested them over the span of a decade during scout events. Besides the National Boy Scouts it seeks damages from the yankee. Don was an opportunist. He didnt have any boundaries. He would take boys to the back woods at these campouts and he would molest them in the woods. The lawsuit is seeking damages. In a statement boy scouts of america says it was only just aware made aware of these allegations last month and had never before received any reports or accusations. It is 5 25. That was probably the thinking behind the old engine 22 house but this building will be torn down soon. That is a harbinger for a Major Development going on across the street. Take a look here. District officials will break ground later today on that, and its going to be built on the site of an old building that used to belong to the walter reed campus. This is temporary housing for visitors to walter reed. Take a look. Major Development Plan there. The district Just Announced that they will pay 22. 5 million for 66 acres of this 110 acre facility. Now the walter reed facility has been moved now to bethesda and theres been a lot of speculation about what happens to this campus. Recently city officials announced that deal. Theyre going to be putting up 21 housing units. 1 5 of them will be affordable along with 3. 1 million square feet of Residential Office and retail space. Its one of 142 recommendations to establish greater accountability and transparency in the Police Department. The board voted to further pursue all 142 recommendations yesterday. You should expect to see a Pilot Program on those cameras in the next few weeks. Were ready to do a pilot project. The key obstacle here is budgetary. A civilian Police Review commission came up with the recommendation. It was created in part after a Police Officer shot and killed an unarmed john gear in august of 2013. The man who admitted to setting fire to a cvs store during the baltimore riots is heading to jail. Raymond carter was sentenced yesterday to four years in prison. A judge also ordered carter to pay half a million in restitution. Prosecutors say he admitted to starting the fire by lighting up nearby paper products. Those riots back in april were sparked by the death of freddy gray who died in police custody. There will be no federal review of the chemistry class fire at Woodson High School in fairfax county.
