A shooting left pates paralyzed but before he died he identified his shooter by blinking at the lineup. The court ruled that him blinking was admissible. And the deadly shooting of an American University grad is in the news today from last august. Three men are charged in his death. And a man accused of taking photos up womens skirts has pleaded guilty. Michael edwards is a former fitness trainer at a gym. He took revealing photos of women at the grocery store. He pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful filming and a sex offense. Six years ago edwards was arrested in maryland for spraying bodily fl in a Shopping Center parking lot. And today the class of 2016 at Bethesda Chevy Chase High School will graduate but not out controversy. Parents are upset that six seniors are allowed to walk across stage after showing up to prom drunk. The principal said they would not be allowed to walk after breaking school rules. The families appealed to the superintendent larry bowers who overturned the principals decision. Parents said that sends the wrong message to students. I just dont think the superintendent should have cut the principal off at the knees, not only the principal who thought long and hard about this, but the adults and the parents around here. Now theres an idea to get traffic moving when it comes at a cost. Fairfax transportation planners are considering scrapping less turn lanes altogether. The design is called a super street to only allow for left and uturns at key intersections. The county says its the only option to keep track of slowing as the area continues to grow. The planners say this could affect those people on foot. Its about movement of cars not necessarily about pedestrians. And it could make it less safe for pedestrians and give them a much l further discouraging them on connections between the road. Planners still have to do more studies on the plan. Police in arlington are stepping up reports of a suspicion man near children. In three of the cases kids report seeing a man in a darkcolored pickup truck. In two the children say the man tried to get them into that vehicle.
