Injuries because it allows for every Single Person to get the access to the kind of coverage that they want. But nobody wants folks who have a preexisting illness or injury not to be covered. We want to make certain that we can do that at a lower price and broader choices for well, health and Human Services secretary tommy price there talking about the Health Republican Health Care Bill that passed next week. Now the bill heads to the senate. Joining us now, nbcs Andrea Mitchell in for chuck todd this week. Obviously, you are talking to the health and Human Services secretary. Is there an idea that theres confusion with these bills . Because you have competing interests now, right . Youve got a lot of competing interests going to the senate the theyre going to change it. First of all, theyre going to read it. I had Dianne Feinstein on the show and she brought with her the bill which no republican could find on the house side actually read. They rushed it through. And that really matters. You have to know who is it helping, who is it not helping . Tom price insisting that despite the 80 billion in cuts in medicaid, that it is going to be better for people and that the better services. Yet with 22 Major Health Care organizations, including the ama, the hospitals, the nurses, the physicians, all say they are against it. So the senate is going to make a lot of changes. We talk about deciding health care, but the whole issue of the Affordable Care act and the democrats want to use it for fuel for 2018. Do you think that they have a solid issue here . They think they do. Theyre already putting out ads. We showed some of the ads they were releasing this morning. But they should not count their districts because there are problems with obamacare. Right here in virginia were seeing insurance problems. Iowa has had problems. And rather than fixing it, which would have done in prime time, take obamacare, fix those business problems with access. They arent changing it so radically that the republicans will have to defend this. But i think it predict whats going to happen in the midterm. There obviously are some problems for the republicans who are in districts that Hillary Clinton either won or came close to winning and those are the areas where republican incumbents who voted for the bill may have a problem. We focus so much on Foreign Affairs and we have french elections going on and now another claim of russian influence in this election. This is all kind of closely mirroring what were going to hear. Whats the bigger significance of all this . I think its terribly important. Jim comey, the fbi director last week said russia is the biggest threat to the u. S. Bar none. And the Senate Intelligence committee having hearings, house intelligence committees having open hearings. The prior acting attorney general inspired over the issue of mike flynn and his conversations with the russian ambassador, w the white house were apparently not appropriate. The russians have done this again, according to my intelligence, done this again on the eve of an election of Emmanuel Macron when election campaigning was stopped so the candidate cant even rebut what they put out.
