The state Health Department just releasing new figures and they show the number of deaths increased in many counties. Lets give the breakdown for our area. This grooes to january to september of 2016. Arlington county had 12 deaths. Fairfax county, 52. And loudoun and Prince William counties both lost over 20 people to overdoses. We now know the terms of a plea deal for a man kused of opening fire on a d. C. Restaurant. Edgar welch pleaded guilty to Assault Charges and bringing a gun from North Carolina and on connecticut avenue. Police say welch told them he was investigating a fake news story about democrats and child sex trafficking. He will be sentenced later this year. Today the faa will be investigating a tragic plane crash. This happened outside atlanta and the plane slammed into a home. Only the planes pilot died. No one on the ground or in the home was hurt. But you can see that dark smoke right there rising from above the crash site. This was last night. Witnesses say they saw the plane start to spin moments before it went down. Cause of the crash still unknown. Larry hogan says he will veto an education bill. The protect our school act would limit how low performing schools.
