Well, after two years and no arrests, today police are renewing the search for answers into the death of a Prince Georges County teen. On todays anniversary of amber stanleys killing in 2012, police are passing out these flyers in the kettering neighborhood where she was shot to death. Yesterday police say they were closer to a conclusion but are not ready to name a suspect or a motive. Theyre also not saying amber was the target. A 25,000 cash reward is offered for tips leading to an arrest. Turning to our weather now, for the fifth day in a row were facing the risk of rain out there. Are getting ready to go back to school on monday and for some kids in the district, this year may be the last year in their Current School. Changes to d. C. School boundary maps were made yesterday. The changes start taking effect in 2015 and will happen gradually. Next year students will be allowed to stay at their Current School if they dont want to move. The boundaries were changed to adjust for overcrowding or underused schools and to address travel and safety issues as well. Well, dont be so quick to swipe your card at an atm. Thieves have once again planted skimming devices on machines in this region. Surveillance cameras snapped clear shots of these guys. You can see them actually attaching the skimmers to atms in Fairfax County. These were all at 12 federal Credit Unions last month. Earlier thieves put skimmers on Sun Trust Bank atms. Police say there are ways, though, to protect your money. Really keep a close eye on any expenditures that are being used on their credit cards, their banking cards, debit cards, all of it. The Anne Arundel County police union just made an online donation supporting the officer who shot and killed Michael Brown. The police union donated 1,000 to officer Darren Wilsons go fund me campaign. The goal is to raise 250,000. So far more than 200,000 has been donated to that fund. Hands up. Dont shoot. Hands up. More than 50 people have died, another 30 hurt. The people in the mosque were sunni muslims who were praying when the attacks happened. Congressional investigators say the pentagon illegally swapped five taliban leaders to get Army SergeantBowe Bergdahl back. Bergdahl was a prisoner in afghanistan for five years before the exchange. The Government Accountability office says the Defense Department should have notified congress at least 30 days before that transfer. Investigators also say the pentagon used nearly a Million Dollars of wartime funds unavailable for that transfer. The Obama Administration defended the swap saying concern for bergdahls health required quick action. Were getting some new insight about the nations economic health. Federal reserve chairwoman janet yellen addressed the annual fed conference happening in wyoming. She said the recent recession complicated the feds ability to assess the job market. Right now polls show that hes in pretty comfortable shape in this president ial swing state that is virginia. Lets talk a little bit about Bob Mcdonnell. Weve been talking about his corruption trial. He has been on the stand and talking about his marriage problems. Is this going to hurt his chances of becoming a Vice President in 2016 or was that even an option . Barbara, this whole trial, Bob Mcdonnell is trying to stay out of prison. His political career is over with and so hes trying everything he can to make sure that he doesnt spend any time in jail at all. Now, what is interesting is that Bob Mcdonnell in 20112012 was definitely trying to gun to be mitt romneys Vice President ial nominee. And what weve kind of found out during the very same time, his marriage was falling apart. To a lot of political reporters, knowing that he was so eyeing this Vice President ial gig, also making preparations for a president ial run in early 2013, how you can reconcile this falling apart marriage with all these maneuvers he was doing for higher office. Plenty of clouds for the remainder of the afternoon hours and continuing to track scattered showers. Here you can see this activity on the satellite and radar. First i want to show you the clouds. Pretty much everybody socked in with cloud cover and then there are those hit or miss showers, but again not tracking any lightning on the radar right now. So this activity continues to move through the area pushing its way through, pretty much moving eastsoutheast. As we pull out on the radar, you can see this way back in the panhandle of West Virginia and then really nothing behind it. So as far as timing is concerned, were going to have scattered showers around until about 3 00, 4 00 this afternoon. I think well have a period of dry weather for that evening commute, so theres some good news there. Then as we work our way towards 8 00 p. M. , i think we could see another round of showery activity, maybe an isolated thunderstorm. Future weather, i have to say is having a difficult handle on the weather today. Forecast is difficult. Some forecasts are easier than others. This one is a little bit tricky. Heres what im calling for. Scattered showers until about 3 00, 4 00. I think well have a dry period after that, but the clouds stick around. Now how 5 00 on future weather, most of the area is mainly dry. Right now two people in nigeria have contracted ebola through secondary contact. These are the first two cases involving people getting the virus and not having had direct contact with the infected traveler. Ebola has killed nearly 1400 people in west africa. Thats where two americans were working when they contracted the deadly virus. Dr. Kent brantly and Nancy Writebol have recovered. They want people to remember thousands who are still dying in africa. Brantly says he remembers the moment he went from doctor to ebola patient. As i lay in my bed in liberia for the following nine days getting sicker and weaker each day, i prayed that god would help me be faithful, even in my illness. Doctors at emory say both patients arent showing any signs of ebola in their blood and dont pose a health risk to the rest of the country. Nancy writebols son, say the ebola survivor, their mother, is doing well and looking forward to resting. They were on the today show and say its been a long road but theyre healthy to have their mom healthy again. Its been the lowest of lows and at the same time the highest of highs. Weve experienced both in thinking about moms potential death and succumbing to ebola but then her recovery and being healed in that way has just brought our spirits up and really encouraged us. Writebol was released from Emory University hospital this week. Her sons say it was the combination of faith, excellent care and the new experimental drug that helped nurse their mom back to health. The family says despite almost having died from ebola, their mother is not done with africa. No stations are closed as metro track work returns tonight. Metro will be testing the new 7000 series trains on the red line and your wait could be as long as 20 minutes. Youll have a 20minute wait on the orange line as well. Metros other lines will be running with normal weekend service. A maryland man is accused of taking advantage of older people looking for love. Police say he bilked more than a Million Dollars from women who used Online Dating sites. Hes accused of pretending to be interested in the victims and then convincing them to give him money. He is facing skpeconspiracy, ma fraud and wire fraud charges. A pair of scam artist had the tables turned on them when an elderly woman they robbed had them arrested. This 92yearold woman named violet got them. Two men came to her home claiming to be chimney workers. While she was distracted outside, the second stole prescription drugs and 165 from inside the house. Violet says the thieves didnt stop there, they told her theyd come back and fix her chimney for 3,000. Violet decided to do some investigating then. When she looked through her phone book and couldnt find a listing for the company the men claimed to work for, she called police. Kind of funny to us. You know, we would use google or we would use the internet. A 92yearold woman is going to use the phone book to see if she can find the company name. You folks tell your folks to be careful. They might not realize but they could we a victim next. When the two suspects returned, the police were waiting for them. Both were charged with burglary. Why dont you give us that show right now. No problem. So today what i want to talk to you about is portion control. Everybody asks me how do you get everybody to eat healthy and keep them slim. So the thing that i want to talk about is portion control and how to plate food. So today im going to show you a salmon dish were going to do. Right now the pan is smoke so you really want to get this hot. As a matter of fact ill let you do the seasoning of it. Just take that seasoning and sprinkle it all over here. Thats a little parsley, a little fresh thyme. Okay. Rosemary. Keep going. This is rosemary, fresh thyme over a piece of salmon. A little salt and pepper. Were going to add just a little bit of oil. And what kind of oil is this . Extra virgin olive oil. Thats good right there, not a whole lot. Now im just going to take this and lock in the flavor. Were going to add that right here. Put the skin side up. Skin side up. Then take the broccolini and add it right here. Were doing a one pot wonder. So were going to take a little salt. You grab the salt and ill do the pepper at the same time. I happen to like salt. So were going to do two pinches. Thats the first pinch and do one more. Perfect. Now the pepper here. Its smelling delicious. Do you smell that . It does smell really good. What im going to take now is we have something that i like to call a strawberry and grape tomato salad where you take a little rose vinegar, white balsamic vinegar, a little honey and mix it together and you have a wonderful salad. Theres strawberries and cherry tomatoes. I wanted to show you a different way to eat healthy, sexy. Inside of a martini glass or on the side of a plate as a garnish. It looks delicious. It is smelling good. Were bringing the sexy sglak im bringing sexy back. Now im going to show the viewers what it looks like when you lock in the flavors. Hold it here so they can see it. But you should cook it through or not . Cook it through. I like mine as a good medium. This is about a medium rare so ill leave it on for another two or three minutes, turn this over a little bit and then well make our plate. But this is the plate here. Its already done for us.
