I heard coach speak about it earlier, and the real prize is going to win the super bowl. Its great to get there. Dont get me wrong, but to win it is something special. And you feel that confetti drop in, ill reflect then. But this really hasnt crossed my mind like that. All right. So they leave for new orleans on monday. The Washington Capitals gave up four goals in the Second Period in the last nights game versus the half. Four goals in one period. Caps fall to 10 on the year. Hoping to shake off that loss and hit the ice tonight in new jersey to face the devils. He knows that team well. He was an assistant for the devils the last two season. Last night, verizon center, Second Period was a demonstration of what not to do. A number of mental errors, guys out of positions and getting beat to the puck. All the stuff a coach does not want to see. To make matters worse, the team was being booed at times by their own fans. And a lot of talk on social media today. Rocking the red might be dead. Lets not write them off just yet. Players beating themselves up enough already. I think its embarrassing the way weve played. We really got to regroup and talk about this. And play the way we should tomorrow. The good thing is were playing tomorrow again, weve got to be better. Were not out of shape. Thats an excuse right now. Guys are professionals here, they came into camp in shape ready to go and its not, you know, fitness. Its work ethic. And were getting worked. Im not a believer in the speech, im not. Were pros, youve got to do your job, its not always going to go your way. And youve got to show up for work. All right. So the caps tonight in new jersey will be the only team in the League Without a single point in the standings. The Washington Wizards are coming back after a wild adventure out west. The wizards hosting the twolves tonight at the verizon center. Almost doubling their win totals since he returned. He had made them competitive playing up to 25 minutes a game. Tonight for the first time this season, hes going to be in the starting lineup. Fun fact, with him on the court, wizards are outscoring their opponents by 20 points per 10 possessions. Without him on the floor wizards know what they have to do and confident in their return to d. C. You do the job the best way you can. Thats all you try to do. And weve done that and these guys were doing that for the most part. So theyve stuck to it. Now were starting to get healthy and starting to get people back. And i think they see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. In the next step for us was just getting everybody healthy. And now that were finally healthy, you know, really showing teams were capable of doing. Now its just a matter of building that comradery and that chemistry and getting repetition with the guys back. Once we get full circuit, were going to be a tough team to play. Oh, yeah. Tough team. The maryland terrapins not fooled by dukes 27point blowout loss to miami this week. Hes only studying bits of that game film, focusing more on the footage of the blue devils at home. Because duke is a whole different animal indoor. I think our guys will be excited because its the Number One Team in the country. I know they lost last night, but still number one when we play them. We have a lot of new players that havent been in the building. Theyll be excited to play in that building. More importantly, were coming off our last road game where we werent very good in the first half. I imagine our guys will be a lot more intuned and ready to go. Obviously dukes going to be ready to go saturday after what happened last night. We have to be ready and match their intensity early. This is going to be loud, its going to be a great atmosphere. You have to relish in the moment. Thats what coach told us. Regardless of what we play on the road, its going to be tough. Looking for an opportunity to play against coach and his team. Roger federer was making a statement today, at least four of the five sets. The match went one set too long for the 31yearold. Andy murray took advantage. Mens semifinals action. Theres murray, the number three seed taking on the second seed Roger Federer. Picking up in the second serve, on the serve falling back and forth. Murray, a strong forehand, but rips the back hand in far back corner, he would take the second set and hes pumped. Third set now murray battling back. Check out this forehand down the line. Again. Bam, federer has no answer for that. Goes to a fifth set, going to a distance, federer on the serve and goes long, andy murray moves on to beat Roger Federer in five sets. Its the first time murray has ever beaten federer. And hes happy to go to the finals. Hes been there a couple of times before, murrays never won it. Okay. Well, got to be happy for him. Stay up for it 3 00 a. M. Sunday morning. Dvr. Thanks, carol. Up next, the hunt for a dolphin on the [ male announcer ] now at your neighborhood subway the big hot pastrami melt. Weve perfected the pastrami sandwich filled with juicy pastrami, pickles, yellow mustard and melted cheese. All piledhigh on freshly baked bread. Taste one at your local subway today subway. Eat fresh. One more check on dougs weather forecast. It was nice, but it is safe to go outside now. Thats the thing, i still think tonight with these very cold temperatures, were going to run into that lot of slick spots. Right on through the night tonight and through tomorrow morning. The main roads were treated, and they have been fine for the most part. Some really good news there. Tomorrow still cold, but look at that. 33, we get above freezing for the first time in four days, and we stay on that trend, 35 on sunday, monday, watching out for that could be some slick conditions early on monday, maybe some snow or freezing rain early monday morning. Its not big at all. Once again, coming around rush hour, 60 on wednesday, a good chance for some rain, and then we cool off once again cold by next week. Back down below the freezing mark, and we could stay there for a while. Oh, my. All right. Thank you, doug. Did i say dolphin . Well, i meant crocodile. If crocodiles scare you, south africa is not the place to visit right now. As many as 10,000 of them succe escaped from a farm. Concerns of rising flood waters might crush the reptiles, now crocodiles have been sighted across the region. Authorities are warning people not to approach them. I cant imagine thats a problem. Thats something you probably dont have to repeat twice for most people. The farm workers are out trying to capture the crocodiles, and now police have joined in that hunt. Theyre working at night because the light reflected in the crocodiles eyes makes it easier to see them. I wonder if they were escaping if they were going to be made into a purse or pair of shoes. Maybe they were running for it. Thats our
