Turning to politics now and the white house revealing what it calls the biggest tax cuts in american history. There are still a lot of details that need to be worked out but heres what we know. They want to cut the Corporate Tax rate from 35 to 15 . Simplify tax brackets from seven to just three. The plans also double the standard deduction, also eliminates all for mortgage and charitable deductions and it also calls for a one time tax on corporate money held overseas. What we dont know, what kind of cuts the middle class will actually see. The income range for the new tax backets or the tax rates on those overseas funds. Also unclear, will it be revenue neutral or will it add to our deficit. This will pay for itself with growth and with reduce reduction of different deductions and closing loopholes. Now one other big question in all of this, how much this plan will benefit President Trump and his family. Treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin reiterated that the president has no plans to release his tax returns. Wendy. On capitol hill the effort to repeal and replace obamacare, it got an important boost today from the Freedom Caucus which is supporting a revised plan. This new number of the regulations that were on the Insurance Companies under obamacare and with the Freedom Caucus support, the gop could then have enough votes in the house. There isnt a timetable for a vote, but the budget deal is still in the works there and the Freedom Caucus member is telling news4 he doesnt expect anything until next week at the earliest. Metro notified its supervisors that due to the threat of a sickout by Union Employees who operate trains and buses, all supervisors are required to work 12 hour shifts beginning this friday and lasting through the weekend. Susan hogan is here to tell us how it looks. Reporter the new galaxy just hit store shelves on friday and Consumer Reports put it to the test. Heres how they say it stacks up against the competition. Consumer reports is testing eight of samsung s 8 and s 8 plus smartphones. Its the companys first significant phone launch since the massive recall of s 7 last summer. Its always done well in our test so were interested in seeing if the newest one can knock its predecessor out of the top spot in our ratings. Reporter Consumer Reports checked out complaints about four out of the eight phones they purchased and tested. Fa na statement to Consumer Reports, samsung did not directly address the rend tint issue but will issue an update. In the meantime if your display looks red, go to the settings, display, screen mode, color bound and change the red level. Consumer reports put the smartphones camera through its rigorous testing and found the s 8 did well. The camera is one of the best we ever tested. Samsungs toned down some the sharpness. The s 8 passed dunk test validating samsungs claim that the phone could with stand five feet of water for up to 30 minutes and in Consumer Reports lab they found with the damage resistant gorilla is more resistant. It will complete its testing of the galaxy its smartphone ratings in the next few weeks. Quick question, should we wait a while or what .
