If i want to pick something up, it is intuitive the and fluid as if i had a hand. Reporter and this doctor of the militarys medical school says that the newer prosthetics use the sensors on the surface of the limb so they can only detect some of the remaining muscles, and that limits movements. Many more of the functional muscles that actually control your hand naturally are deeper and not close to the surface of the skin. Many of the deeper mus are also t muscles are the muscles that you use to manipulate. Reporter and many of the sensor sensors are inside of his hand to help articulate the hand and rotate the hand and he can do all of them at once. I am rotating the forearm inside of the prosthetic to make et do this, and with the thumb, move the thumb muscle up, and it goes up, an contract it, and it will go down. And with the older prosthetics, there is only a manual thumb so you will have to physically position it with the hand before you can grab something, and movements can only be done once at a time making simple everyday tasks much more tedious. And if we give them much more function functional prosthesis, it will help them not only in the quality of life to today but tomorro tomorrow. It is amazing it is possible. And doctor thes are looking for two more people to be part of the clinical device, and they hope to have it on the market as soon as possible. Most of them would be tourists and as long as the money comes to us, we cant complain. Parking has been free here for as long as anybody can recall, and soon it is 2 hour, and you may have to pay on weekends and holidays and even on sundays.
