News 4s Erika Gonzalez is in the news room with an update. Police held a News Conference this afternoon to announce the arrest of 26yearold deanna debrow conley. Investigators say conley was arrested in philadelphia. Shes accused of killing her 1yearold son, Antonio Conley jr. At a new york avenue home in the summer. D. C. Fire and ems responded to the home for reports of an unconscious child. They took him to the it was earlier this month that the chief medical examiner ruled the cause of death was blunt neck and head trauma and the manner of death to be homicide. Thats when police had enough to arrest the mother. The autopsy came back, of course, the autopsy was performed by the medical examiners office. Firefighters just arrived on the scene in the past hour. The fire is under control right now. They believe it started in a basement apartment. No one was home at the time. Right now, however, Georgia Avenue is blocked at euclid street. Traffic is being diverted onto side streets. Convicted Charleston Church shooter dylann roof will undergo a second mental competency exam tomorrow. His legal team requested roof chose to act as his own lawyer in the penalty phase of his trial. A jury has convicted him of killing nine black worshiper in bible study last year. A judge will hold a hearing on the exam on monday, and tuesday, the trial begins.
