The suspect, gary holmes, was ar arraigned today and pleaded not guilty to murder charges. Holmes surrendered to police last night. Hes being held without bond. Hes accused of shooting into a car driven by the little boys grandmother. She told authorities she had saturday night, a man honked his horn when she didnt move quickly enough, got out of his car and then opened fire. We have been reporting on the video of this video of a white Police Officer wrestling a black woman to the ground. Sparking outrage, now viewed well over 2. 5 million times. The takedown happened in ft. Worth, texas. The woman actually called police to say her neighbor had choked her 7yearold son for littering in the neighborhood. Things escalated after the officer asked her why she didnt teach her son not to litter. The officer is seen wrestling the woman to the ground. He arrests her and her two teenage daughters. The video appears to have some gaps in it, but the familys Attorney Says it wasnt edited. They just got a phone call that interrupted the feed. The mother is now considering a civil rights claim against the officer. It made me feel less of a parent that i couldnt pr she was charged with resisting arrest. The officer has been placed on restricted duty. In a statement, the ft. Her name is sherry blackburn. She was selected for the dry home roofing and siding holiday program. Every year, the Company Provides a homeowner or a nonprofit a free roof. Well, blackburn got the most nominations from customers and from the community. Well, when we let her know she was going to get a free roof, i think the biggest problem that we had was convincing her that she w and we werent trying to sell her something. So it was kind of nice. I think it was total disbelief. And a great surprise. The company didnt realize at the time that she was selected, but blackburn was a previous customer decades ago during its first years in business. Good for her. Yeah. We have all been guilty of it, from time to time, you borrow a book from the library, forget to return it on time. Mark segraves has the story of what happened when a man returned a couple books to his local library that were decades overdue. John kramer and his family live just blocks from the twin Brook Library here in maryland in the 70s. His parents checked out two books in 1973 and 1974 and never returned them. A few months ago, kramer found those books in the family home in ontario. And he did something very special. He cents a day for more than 3,000 days. And he wrote a check to the Library System for more than 1,500. Kramer, who now lives in minnesota, says his family spent many memorable hours at the libraries here in montgomery county, and he just wanted to give something back. Ikea and other big retailers are cracking down on a troubling new trend. Teenagers hiding out in stores overnight, and then posting videos of their adventures. They call it the sleep over challenge, but as Miguel Almaguer reports, its serious business. Kids could be charged with trespassing and even go to jail. Tonight, we are going to try to sleep in ikea. The craze appears to have started with these two belgian teens. Back in january, the best friends filmed themselves at their local ikea store, hiding in a closet until closing. Then they spent the night ro roaming the store, bouncing around. They have really good beds here. And mugging for their camera. We made it. Casually slept in ikea. It began a little bit as a joke. We came up with the idea to film it. And to put it on the internet. It blew up like crazy. Their youtube video, two idiots at night in ikea, went viral with more than two million views. And its apparently inspired copy cats world wide, in canada, these ubers filled their overnight escapade in a walmart. Shhh. Here in the u. S. , these friends recorded their night hiding inside the play set at a mcdonalds. Is this trespassing . They werent caught. But these british youths werent so lucky after their night in an ikea store. Might be getting arrested for trespassing. Are you worried you may have started something that could get other kids in trouble . Maybe a little bit. Be free, but responsible. In a statement to nbc news, ikea said, the safety and security of our coworkers and customers is our highest priorities. Thats why we do not allow sleepovers in our stores. Walmart told us, we do not condone any activity inside our stores that could result in vandalism, destruction of property, or physical injury and will take appropriate action if necessary. As for these two, they never heard from ikea after posting their video. They dont plan any more sleepovers there. I guess you had to think about it twice before you do it. All of those addresses probably available information, and that information has been previously published online. Most concerning, according to the bulletin, are posts to the original link that called for aspirational attacks. According to the bulletin, the post urges these attacks to be carried out on churches, hotels, coffee shops. Streets, markets, and other Public Places and that list includes locations in the u. S. , canada, france, and the netherlands. Intelligence officials think that the list in their words is likely not indicative of a specific credible threat.
