A man was stand at the addison road station in Capitol Heights and Prince Georges County bureau chief Tracee Wilkins has been working this story all day. Reporter this is one of those guys who hands out the free Washington Post express paper as youre heading into the metro, usually very friendly, gives you the paper and you keep on going. Well, this is the guy who metro Police Believe stand a commuter on his way into the train station. It happened just over that way. You can see theres now a Metro Transit Police officer car there, and they are still continuing their investigation and trying to track down this paper man. Here is what it looked like earlier today. Now, were told that when this happened it was very crowded, just before 9 00 a. M. Here is how a metro spokesperson is describing it. They get into an altercation that escalates to physical and on the sidewalk behind us here the suspect tackled the victim and ended u the victim was transported to a local hospital, trapt transport Critical Condition but hes been upgraded to stable condition so hes expected to be okay. Reporter theyre still trying to figure out exactly what led to all this. Were told the man who was stand is in stable condition and as you just heard expected to be okay. The rising water swamped a College Parking lot submerging some of the vehicles, and firefighters had to get out there and conduct some water rescues as well. Three people had to hang onto trees after the water pushed their car over a bridge but crews were able to pull them down to safety. Severe weaer through oklahoma. A tornado touched down there in tulsa last night. Seven people reportedly taken to hospitals with injuries. The storm produced some powerful wind and heavy hail. A man is in a Fairfax County jail this afternoon after leading police on a pursuit that stretched from chain bridge road through route 29 in fairfax. Police tell us they tried to pull the car over and the driver refused to stop. They followed the car along route 29 until they were able to force him over. Were still working to find out who he is and why they were trying to pull him over in the first place. A scary discovery on a school bus in Loudoun County. A mysterious explosive device. News4s chris gordon has the story from ashburn. Reporter yesterday during routine maintenance, an explosive device was discovered on the exterior on one of the school buses. Now, last week was school br, allowed a federal agency to conduct a drill using bomb sniffing dogs at briar woods high school. On monday and tuesday of this week, the students were transported on the same bus where the explosive device was still on board. One, it is in a benign state, which means it has no blasting caps or electronic triggering devices on it. It is a safe substance. Report is warning of serious security risks at federal buildings, not only in our area but around the nation. The report says the General Services administration doesnt properly keep track of building passes that are issued to get in and out of a lot of these buildings. These are for employees, visitors, contractors, and the report says too many of them are subject to identity fraud, tampering, and counterfeiting. It was last wednesday evening when Montgomery County Police Say Two workers were picked up from the parking lot of this 7eleven along north frederick road. 44yearold jose compos gonzalez was in a bed breaking down furniture when he inappropriately touched a 6yearold girl. After they left, the child told the mother what happened and she called 911. It is not i will lee but its not the best practice. The words of a Fairfax County Police Officer on trial for murder may come back to haunt him. Prosecutors will be allowed to tell jurors who adam torres said before and after the deadly shooting of john gear in august of 2013. Witnesses say he was shot while his hands were in the air. Police were called to his house for a domestic dispute. Torres says he wondered whether he fired out of anger over his own marital trouble but quickly concluded the shooting was justified. Nbcs Pete Williams has learned one state trooper is now dead at that shooting at a Greyhound Bus station. Pete tells us that the troopers were just conducting a narcotics training operation in the station. That ended. They disbursed throughout the station and were just talking to people. One man that this trooper was just talking with suddenly pulls out a gun and starts shooting and shoots the trooper. Police say it does not appear to be an act of terrorism. That suspect is in custody. Five otherop this bus station shooting. We dont know their conditions. Council will have to pass special legislation to put sanders name on the ballot for the june 14th primary. Sources close to the d. C. Board of elections say it has determined it cannot certify sanders for the ballot because the local Democratic Party submitted his name one day after the legally binding deadline. Sanders campaign was not at fault. It submitted its paperwork and Registration Fee to Party Officials well before t d. C. So we could have some thunderstor thunderstorms, isolated thunderstorms. It would bring damaging winds possible but thats the only threat. Well keep that chance as we go into the afternoon and evening. But most of us clear out before more clouds come back on friday night into saturday. We do have a chance for rain on saturday. It will be chilly on saturday and into sunday. Definitely blustery on sunday. So the rain intensity as we go through, maybe a moderate rain. You might want to get more of a bigger umbrella because we could have isolated storms and watch out for those winds but high tomorrow is pumping up to around 80 degrees so thats why we have a chance again for some isolated thunderstorms.
