As you have seen on social media, the dash cam video is so chilling and investigators are looking for the answers in that plane crash that killed at least 31 people in taiwan. Ian williams reports. Reporter the battered body of the plane has been hoisted from the river and attempts are underway by rescue workers to locate those passengers still unaccounted for. Now the death toll seemed certain to rise. This was only two minutes into. A flight when it lost control, slammed into that roadway overpass and then down into the river. When it hit the water, it triggered a massive res operation at one point involving several hundred police army and soldiers pain stakingly looking for survivors among the 58 passengers and crew. Now there is speculation tonight that the pilot may deliberately have tried to steer the plane into that river in order to miss the apartment blocks that appeared to shave and in so doing wishing to avoid a worst disaster. A lot of speculation about what might have caused the crash, perhaps engine failure. Crucially they have recovered the black boxes. It means they were easy to define. He then boarded an orange line train and took it here to the Federal Center southwest station. While on board, a passenger saw the suspect, saw what was going on and tried to intervene. Police say the suspect stabbed the man in the hand. That man is now in a hospital. Hes going to be okay. The suspect tried to board another train and thats when metro Transit Police and the Capitol Hill Police caught him here ae fed center southwesstation. Both trains have been stopped. They are now crime scenes. Passengers are on other trains again. There are minor delays.
