Plus the return of tina and amy and what else to look forwar the economy is still feeling the impact of the deep freeze that swept through our region and across the country last w k week, the polar vortex is estimated to have cost the economy 5 billion. The cold snap caused days of lost work, and thousands of canceled flights and school close in closings and took the toll on the roads and caused the pipes to burst in houses across the nation, and despite the hefty price tag the deep freeze came nowhere close to the impact we felt of hurricane sandy. Sandy caused an estimated 65 billion in Property Damage alone. Well, as far as the weather is concerned, we are going to need the umbrellas for the whole weekend . Well, half of the weekend and through saturday, you will need it, and you might want to pull out the rain boots for saturday if you are gog to be out in the afternoon, because it is looking soggy, and take a look at the radar, guys and find out what is going on and here is where most of the rain is making its way from west to northeast and running up and through and south of d. C. And here is where the higher rain totals will be, and so we are expecting a half to an inch of rain tomorrow, and the areas down here are going to be. And waldorff and clinton and you are going to be wet through the evening and the headline weather, the rain continues, and we will continue to see the fog and a high wind threat tomorrow, and then with the possibility with a few storms mainly down to the south, these are the locations around here around leonardtown and colonial beach, and around montrose, and wind will be gusting near 40 Miles Per Hour before it is through. And temperatures tonight will be going the other way, and up and instead of down. So it is going to be wet, and we will drop to 41 degrees by 11 00 p. M. , and no issues of icing in this period, and now watch what happens in this period, rain showers in our area, and certainly down to the south, and then we will take a break from 10 00 a. M. To noontime and then watch what happens around 2 00. It is a line of storms, and when that line moves through between 2 00 and 5 00 p. M. , that is when the winds will pick up, and with as heavy as the rain could be falling, we could see some runoff issues and 60 is the high for saturday and we are close to 50 sunday, and sunday, that is the best day out of the weekend, but it is going to be breezy and 49 degree temperature, and i will take that with the sunshine returning to the area, and when we come back, we will talk about the tuesday and the wednesday and we could see snow around he here. And that what we are expecting from the hosts. And so what about tohe awards 2 years a slave and American Hustle and both of them up for seven, and which one do you think is going to come out on top . Because there is drama and comedy musical, they will both win in my opinion, and 12 years a slave will win best drama, because it is a gripping film and hurts to watch it in certain places, but it is an important movie and i think it will be n honored and i think that American Hustle will win in the comedy department, because it is hysterical, and christian bales combover, and he patched it together with double mint glue, and his do alone will carry the actings greatest. And Jennifer Lawrence has a great shot from that movie as well, an all of the favorite are there, jennifer laurps, and christian bale, and amy adams, and from the Silver Linings playbo playbook will do well, and some people thought that Kerry Washington would win the emmy for the lead actress in a television dradrama, and i beli she will win here at the Golden Globes, and bryan cranston, they have never gotten breaking bad the foreign press, and he has been nominated a bunch and the show has been nominated twice, but this time after three emmys under his belt, they may give it to him, but the series will probably not win, because it is downton abbey, and it is the foreign press, and that is pretty good, too. Yes, we are all watching that. And we are take notes. Thank you. And you can watch the Golden Globes right here on nbc4 as the arrival special, and the awards ceremony at 8 00.
