Reporter well, Maryland State Police tell me that speed was definitely a factor in this crash. In fact, they are seeing more motorcycle accidents since the weather got warmer in recent days. This is video of the crash scene. It happened on a ramp southbound landov on the ramp to central avenue. Police are telling us 32yearold of washington lost control of his bike, skidded, hit the guardrail, and then went off the roadway, and it happened just before 7 00 this evening. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. His family has been notified. Now, the ramp here was closed for a couple hours. Everything has been reopened. Now, police are also telling me that he was out riding with a group of other people on motorcycles, but no other bikes were involved. Now, again, police say they are seeing more of these sorts of accidents involving motorcycles and are warning drivers as well as people on motorcycles, de definitely be safe and watch your speed.
