We should ensure that americans with preexisting conditions have access to coverage. We should help americans purchase their own coverage through the use of tax credits and expanded Health Savings accounts. [ applause ] if insurers could base their comp rules, it could lower costs and bring the price down. But it assumes companies in one state can set up a network of providers in another. Virginia residents could find buying a colorado plan gives them fewer options for doctors, and higher costs if the commonwealths population isnt as young or healthy as colorados. Hes expected to make a full recovery. The American Civil Liberties union is suing four d. C. Police officers over the arrest of a transgender woman late last year. It all started with a noise complaint. Jackie vincent spoke to that woman tonight and has video of the arrt. A Dinner Party Guest shows d. C. Police at the northwest d. C. Apartment of transgender activist lords ashley hunter. The party had prompted noise complaints by two other tenants in the building. The lawsuit says hunter acknowledged an exchange with one of them. The officers told her they there were investigating a possible assault. No, youre not going to arrest me. Reporter the confrontation ended in her arrest. She was released later without being charged. The d. C. Chapter of the American Civil Liberties union is representing here. In d. C. , its unlawful for the police to arrest someone without a warrant, for a misdemeanor that they didnt see, unless the person is likely to escape, to harm someone, or to destroy evidence. Reporter hunter says the gathering was held the night before she and several other guests were to attend the final Obama Administration event, centered on issues important to as a black transgender woman im dragged out of my home and thrown in a jail cell. Just a day after several jewish schools received bomb threats, two islamic sites in Montgomery County are on high alert. Both received threatening letters. One of those sites is a mosque. They say someone mailed a hateful note yesterday to the mosque that reads, quote, i will pay 100 to charity for every muslim slaughtered. The letter is sent, you know, obvly fear. C. s Forensics Lab after faulty tests showed nine pregnant women did not have the zika virus, and then those results were later called into question. At least two of the women were later found later found out they had confirmed cases of zika. Public Safety Committee chairman Charles Allen told news4 today the employee who set up the initial faulty test is no longer working there. He added that he was stunned that the lab could not say for certain that it contacted all the women who received false results. The federal review could result in license suspension. Tonight police tell us facebook helped them catch up with a 34yearold, accused in a brazen georgetown abduction. Palo alto rossi lives in london, he was arrested in seattle, washington on friday. Police say he recently abducted a College Student on o street in georgetown. Hes accused of taking that student on a joy ride, trying to get him to withdraw money and buy items with his debit card. When the students card was declined, he bolted empty handed. Police say he documented his every move on social media. Under the law, they must identify state investigators within ten days if they suspect a teacher of sexual misconduct. Previously they were permitted to wait years to do so.
