They have put down this protective decking to make sure it doesnt get trampled by the thousands attending the inauguration. Construction crews building the stage at the Lincoln Memorial where the voices of the people concert. It will be held here on thursday. Theyre working around the clock to make sure everything is ready in time for the inaul workers are taking care not to damage the granite or marble on the memorial. National park service has monitors out there working with the contractors to make sure that when all is said and done, the Lincoln Memorial is in just as good of shape when its finished as it was before. Reporter gates will open at 10 30 in the morning. Many roads around the memorial will be closed starting 4 00 thursday morning. The Teddy Roosevelt bridge will close at 10 00 in the morning.
