Now take a look at this, another officer stands with his gun pointed directly at the suspect. The suspect is shown with the screen door open dressed in shorts and a white shirt. The man barricaded himself in the home and they negotiated with him for 40 minutes at one point the police fired one shot into the house killing the man. Erica says she has been the mans neighbor for nine years and hung out with his family in their townhouse. I feel bad for the wife and children. We know the kids. Really good kids. It breaks my heart. Reporter police say it started at 2 40 this evening. Police received a 911 call telling them that the man has weapons. Police drove to the block and negotiated with the man. He refused to come outside and he would not allow officers inside. Reporter at some point something happened in the negotiations and an officer fired the shot. Next thing i know there is a Police Officer at the car door saying you have to get out of the area. Reporter police surrounded the home and knocked down the front door. The s. W. A. T. Team found the body inside. We dont know why the police fired or what they found inside the home. We are investigating it as an officerinvolved shooting.
