dallas-ft. worth airport. 110 planes were damaged by hail. we checked reagan national airport, and there were two canceled dallas-bound flights. dulles canceled one dallas-bound flight, as well. it is areas. our chances of catching something like that much better. winds certainly over 100 miles per hour could pick up a tractor-trailer. those tornadoes, they'll be, you know, assessing the actual are flowing without issue. however, taking the outer loop this time near new hampshire avenue, you see this left lane is going to be taken away. closer on the outer loop as you get closer to to you. >> thank you, danella. this morning, atc college in northern virginia is closed. it abruptly shut down surprising students and faculty. the for-profit college operatesed campuses in arlington, alexandria, and manassas. had been in business for more than 25 years. apparently it closed its doors for a final time yesterday. there was no warning to faculty or students. >> have to find a job. when i go to the job, when they ask for credits, i don't have them now. >> we were promised the worst case scenario that we would be paid no later than april 4 or the 6th, the money that was owed to us, plus what's due this month. we came in today to a staff meeting from which they canceled the entire school's classes. was told that basically -- >> that instructor, mara stanley, says the school gave the faculty the pink slip and still owes them money. news4 tried to talk to administrators at atc college, no one answered our knock at the door. more charges filed against a university of maryland student who posted warnings online saying he would kill numerous people on campus. song was arrested and taken to the hospital for mental evaluation. he was released yesterday and arrested again. he is facing charges including misuse of e-mail, making a false statement, and disturbing the peace. today in california the man suspected of killing seven people at a small chin university will make his first court appearance. monday morning, one goh opened fire where he was a nursing student. six students and a secretary died. three others were hurt. goh was expelled earlier this year. shortly after he surrendered, authority said goh said he felt bullied. he was upset with administrators and students for teasing him about his poor english schools. >> he's mainly talked about being angry with the college, disgruntled. he was a student there. >> according to a san francisco newspaper, goh once lived in springfield and hayes, virginia, in gloucester county. in the past year his mother and brother died, and his father moved back to south korea. authorities are holding goh without bail. 4:36. the man believed to be the east coast rapist is formally charged for the halloween attack of three virginia teenagers. aaron thomas is suspected of raping at least 17 women from virginia to connecticut over the past decade. he was indicted yesterday on eight counts in virginia, including two counts of rape and three counts of kidnapping. prosecutors say he attacked three girls as they were trick-or-treating in 2009. his trial is set for july 31. right now police need your help finding a missing d.c. man. 62-year-old james thomas vanished yesterday morning. he was last seen wearing a tan or purple shirt and gray pants in the 600 block of s street northwest. if you have seen thomas or know where he is, call d.c. police. federal health officials are investigating a salmonella outbreak possibly linked to sushi. the food and drug administration says that some 90 people have become sick in 19 states and in the district. health officials are examining clusters of restaurants in maryland, texas, wisconsin, rhode island, and connecticut. the fda would not elaborate on their findings so far. people in d.c. will mark the 44th anniversary of the assassination of dr. martin luther king jr. with a special vigil at his memorial. dr. king was shot on april 4, 1968, on the balcony of the lorraine hotel in memphis. the civil rights leader was 39 years old. the candlelight vigil and ceremony on the mall is open to the public tonight. that event will begin at 6:30. 4:38. incident and arrested him after he admitted he was drunk. he is due in court later this month. one lucky lady. whoa. an 80-year-old woman managed to land a plane with her pilot husband dying beside her. this happened monday in northeastern wisconsin. helen collins' husband john was flying the twin-engine cessna when he had a heart attack. they were just six miles from the airport, and the plane was running out of fuel. that's when helen radioed for help and other pilots in the area told her what to do. >> she was confident. now she wanted to know if i was confident in her confidence. i said, well, if you're confident, i'm confident, i think we're confident, i think we can do this. >> a lot of the confidence, seems like. aside from bruises, helen collins is expected to be fine. her husband did not survive his heart attack. they were returning from a fishing trip in florida. this morning investigators are trying to determine what caused a crane to collapse, killing one man and injuring five others in new york city. the accident happened last night at a subway construction site manhattan's west side. investigators say two sections of the crane came crashing to the ground. a it 0-year-old construction worker was pronounced dead, another worker taken to the hospital. three other were treated for minor injuries. officials have temporarily stopped the project there. a third grader accidently shot at school is recovering at home. the-year-old amina bowman was able to walk out of a seattle hospital. last month a student brought a gun that went off in his backpack. after surgeries, the bullet is lodged in amina's spine. doctors say she'll probably be ready to go back to school to start the fourth grade in the fall. the driver in a fiery crash in chevy chase that killed two teenagers has died from his injuries. 16-year-old renard josmond was behind the wheel when this stolen toyota hit a tree and burst into flames. it happened about two weeks ago. officers pulled osmond and the front seat passenger out of the vehicle. police say he died of his injuries last week. two teenager in the back also died after police had to give up rescue attempt because of the intense flames. this morning, a section of takoma park, maryland, is back open. an officer thought someone fired shots at his cruiser last night. police shut down the area around 15th street for a few hours. after an extensive search, investigators found no physical evidence that someone fired a gun. 12 before the hour. maryland lawmakers questioning a bill that could allow a new casino in prince george's county. some house members say the current gaming expansion bill may not generate enough money for education programs. the bill would grant a sixth casino to be built in maryland, possibly at the national harbor or at rosecroft raceway and would legalize table games. a subcommittee vote is expected later this week. the house has until midnight next monday to pass the gambling legislation. according to the "washington post," most of the prince george's county council backs legislation for a referendum. it would let voters decide in november if they want a full-fledged casino in the county. an anti-smoking bill aimed at protecting young children from secondhand smoke in maryland may be in limbo. it would make smoking illegal in cars when a child younger than 8 is a passenger. it passed in the senate last week. delegates in the house say the subcommittee that is currently considering the bill is not looking at it very favorably. five other state have similar laws. travellers in virginia will have to throw out old maps and get a new one and maybe change gps, too. the department of transportation is renaming three roads in fairfax county. vdot changed them from secondary to primary roads. under rules it must change from four dijits to three and means the federal government will pay about 80% for maintenance. the fairfax county parkway is 286 and franconia parkway is now 289. prince william parkway, 294. the change means that drivers will also need to make adjustments. >> come in on 7100 to get to the kids' house, you know. yeah, it's going to confuse my gm. i'm sure the satellite won't catch up that fast. >> businesses on the roadway will need to update their addresses, as well. all the new and modified signs should be up by the end of the captured this video of a coyote last week in poe thomage overlook regional park. they're not native to our region, but experts say they are here to stay. coyotes tend to be scared of people, but pets
