a woman who said she survived an attack by ingmar guandique took the stand today. she said it happened in rock creek park in may 2001. i felt this incrible thug, he said. he jumped on myback. i screamed no, over and oh again as loud as i know how to scream. then she sai she used a self-defense move. pushing her hand in guandique's mouth. he got up and ranway. the testimony of this woman, key evidence in the chandra levy murder trial. prosecutor amanda haynes said chandra's accused killer ingmar guandique made three mistakes. he told confidantes that he killed chandra 11y. he had an injury consistent with the attack on chandra. and she said he attacked two other women in rock creek park with similarities to the attac on chandra. with one exception. they survived. the defense attorne maria said the government can't fix its failures in this case. they're trying to make mr. guandique an easy scapegoat. the prosecutor said that chana levy in rock week park was a 1-80 foot trail of evidence. she said it ended in a field of bones. she said there's evidence that chandra was tied up. was s strangled? s she stabbed? was she just left there to die? we may never know. back to you. >> reporter: good evening to you. about ten minutes ago montgomery county police said while they cannot release it yet, they can say there was trauma to her body. they say that she was in contact with someone as late as last evening. at this point investigators don't know whether she was kill by an intruder or whether she knew her attacker but they are also saying third on the roads looking for her jeep cherokee. 52-year-old sue ann marcum was a popular kt professor at american use. police say she was found dead inside her home about 10:50 monday morning. >> a friend cameover and found the 52-year-old female uncan go. >> reporter: the friend that found her is in the redskins jersey. he talked to friends for several hours at the scene and then left. police have not described his relationship with marcum. originally montgomery police were treating it as a standard death investigation. but soon suspected murder. >> her car is missing. they've also found signs of a forced entry and they found signs of a struggle inside the home. >> reporter: as they dusted for prts in her backyard monday, they also talked to several people. they want to kno who may have wanted her dead. >> investigators are asking friends, family and co-workers about what she has done this past weekend and what her future plans might have been. >> marcum's missing jeep chair 63 a central part of the investigation. >> we may find the vehicle parked somewhere, abandoned or occupied. if there are folk in it we'll want t talk with them. >> reporter: a woman visiting the next door neighbor is pretty sure she saw the jeep in question monday morning. >> i thought it was the lady next doorbecause it was same color. a jaep cherokee, light color. i didn't think anything more of it until the police started arriving. >> reporter: again, police want folks to be on the lookout for a gold or tan jeep erokee, virginia tags, yxe 1456. if anyone sees it, to call 911 immediately. police say they're not 30 miles an hour in some spots. at this hour, starting to die down. 18 in baltimore. 21 toward the air force base, annapolis and leonardtown. 21-mile-an-hour wind gusts last hour they will die to about 15 miles an hour overnight. they will increase during the day tomorrow. here's what happened with the rain. we thought we would have a good chance of rain but watch what happens. some to the north, some to the south. a few showers into southern maryland. that's really it. maybe some isolated showers this evening and into the oveight period but not expecting much in the way of rain. most of us should remain on the dry side. as i mentioned, this is part of a massive storm system. ahead ofit we're getting that nice southwesterly push. our weather will be fairly tranquil. this is where the storm is. very win conditions from mississippi, all the way up toward the canadian border. that's how big the storm is. the storm itselfill pass well to the north and west of the great lakes. that means it won't come close to us. how big will the wind impact be? there are wind advisories out all the way toward the gulf coast. high wind warnings for winds upwards of 60 miles an hour into chicago, minneapolis. high wind watches as well. i would not be surprised to see a lot of video. a lot of people could be without power into this region as well. they're used to big storms but some are comparing this to a storm in 1975. when you talk about a storm 30 years ago, you know you're talking about a big storm. this will move the warm weather out. it will give as you chance of showers, maybe a thunderstorm on wednesday. we could squeeze out half an ch. it will continue to move through anwe'll see much cooler conditions as we make our way toward the end of the week. mostly cloudy, a few showers. we start off on a nice and mile note. temperature, 55 to 62 degrees. breezy and mild but those winds picking up. special when i the sun come up to 10 to 20 miles an hour. as we move know, a one-time thing. and it was a mistake but it does not rlect on them as people. >> inside the dorm room, hazardous materials teams found the cooler wrapped in duct tape containing six mason jars with a clear liquid inside. and the black suitcase filled with ammonia, rubber gloves and a turkey baster. discovery of the lab prompted a 12-hour evacuation of 400 students at the dorm saturday morning. the defense attorney argued there was no evidence the two students knew there was a drug lab inside the dorm room but a drug still ordered them to be held without bond pending a hearing on wednesday afternoon. in northwest, darcy encer, news4. charles smith is still a student at georgetown but he is facing expulsion. the lawyer for john romano says heopes his client will be able to continue his study. some northern virginia commute here's catch a ride into downtown d.c will have to change their afternoon pick-up routine. d.c. transportation officials have shifted part of the 14th street slug line to 15th stree in northwest. they said it was dangerous because sluggers were blocking traffic on 14th street. one of the city's main traffic arteries. slug commuters ride in cars with three or more passengers so they can use the hov lanes on interstate 95 and 395. the montgomery county counl will vote tomorrow on a parking plan banning cars pr parking on front lawns. the proposal would also prohibit home owners from keeping large commercial vehicles on thei driveways. the county already bans parking those permanently on the street. officials say they've gotten several complaints on food trucks parking in asn hill, rockville, silver spring and wheaton. violators could face a $500 fine for each day ty're not in compliance. there's some controvey over the definition of public service in virginia's eighth congressional district ace. patrick murray is a republican candidate there. he says the incumbent jill moran made claim that military service is not a public
