good saturday, i'm craig melvin. d.e.a. agent died last month in a helicopter crash. today, hundredsncluding eric holder turned out to pay their last respects. we have the story. >> reporter: she is all, happy and loved human being. >> reporter: the woodbridge, virginia resident joined the navy and joined the drug administration in 1992. he died in the helicopter crash. he volunteered for the enforcement ofcers, family, colleagues filled the church celebrating his life. >> i will remember him as a kind, thoughtful and loving person who always tried to do the right thing. >> reporter: knowing he will live on in his unborn child. >> most of all, i thank you for giving me the greatest gift, a piece of you. i know i won't see you anymore, but i know you will always be with us and this baby will always know what an extraordinary man his or her father was. >> reporter: in vienna, news 4. two other d.e.a. agents died in the same chopper crash last month. we are following a developing story in northeast d.c. now. two firefighters were hurt. they were battling a fire. derrick ward is live with the latest on that. >> reporter: it was a close call for a couple living in this house after the two-alarm blaze drove them from the home and sent two firefighters to the hospital. it was about 3:00 p.m. when the occupants of this house made a hasty escape from the home. fire raged through the back of the house. they dialed 911. >> encountered heavy fire conditions. an attack was made. at which time, they received minor burn >> reporter: one firefighter received burns to his face and ears, the other to his wrist. they were taken to the burn unit to be observed. the house has been there as long as they can remember. firefighters say the house's age may have been a plus, if you can find one, in a situation like this, due to the construction. >> the older construction is better than the newer construction because you have a lot longer time you can stay inside and fight a fire. the only thing with the older homes, you must be aware, sometimes the electrical wiring frays. you need to update as time goes by. >> also, no indication as to the extent of the damage. the house is not inhabitable at this point. authorities believe it began at the back of the house. >> thank you. meanwhile, police in prince george's county say they have discovered a fifth person stabbed inside a house this morning. it happened on emmerson street. investigators believe a fight may have broken out at a party. police found four people at the scene, then later, one person showed up at the hospital. they are all expected to survive. a police officer doing a traffic stop was a robbery suspect. an officer tried to pull over an suv, but the driver took off. the driver was hit, then the vehicle went through a stop sign and hit another car. the suspect, 52-year-old david masters died at the hospital. that shooting is still under investigation tonight. virginia governor tim kaine visited flood ravaged areas today. hurricane ida stirred up hurricane winds that created a nor'easter that battered the virginia coast. e damage is put at $3 million. kaine said he will put in for emergency relief. 24,000 customers are still without power this afternoon. almost all of those outages are in the southeastern part of the commonwealth. the same nor'easter hammered the new jersey shore. the storm is out and clean up is beginning. powerful waves and wind gusts are still causing problems. they are dealing with flooded streets and structural damage. a man is dead after a gruesome accident in bethesda today. it happened outside a house on sell curve drive. the 35-year-old was on a ladder trimming a tree branch. he lost control of the chainsaw he was using. the man fell about 30 feet and died at the scene. they have not released his name, yet. president barack obama is in singapore, the second stop on his first asian tour since taking office. the president and secretary of state hillary clinton are in asia to address a challenge, specially the global challenge and trade. earlier, mr. obama was in japan where he reached out to top business leaders promising an era of the disappearance of a student, investigators hope a piece of jewelry lead to more details about what happened. she was last seen at a rock concert in charlottesville. there's a picture of a necklace similar to the one she was wearing at the concert. more people may have come in direct contact with her. witnesses report seeing her using a woman's cell phone and hitchhiking outside the concert. how students were taken to a hospital when a wall collapsed at a hh school football game in south carolina last night. take a look, the students were leaning against the wall. the game was delayed while ty treated the injured. 12 students were taken to the hospital, they are all expected to be okay. another 15 were treated for cuts and bruises. another swine f clinic, another line. the free shots were offered to all people in the priority groups, pregnant women and most people under 24 in arlington. folks with health problems could also get the shot. >> we came a little early, about an hour miles right now in the washington area. i mention that because overnight as the skies clear out, it will allow the formation of potentially thick fog first thing tomorrow morning. the further out you go, the thicker the fog is likely to be. a lot of spots could have very thick fog first thing tomorrow morning. be ready for that. we could start with fog first thing. by 10:00, 11:00 tomorrow morning, things are on the up and up. temperatures remain in the upper 50s. the clouds have been around all day long. you almost can't see them, they are so thin. you also can't see the sun through them. there's the clearing line. that clearing line is coming our way. mild and sunny for your sunday afternoon. be ready if you are headed to fedex field. great weather for the redskins win tomorrow. overnight tonight, extremely light winds. the skies are going to try to clear. the clearing skies, light winds and the moisture and dampness, that's the reason for the fog set up first thing tomorrow you see stars before midnight tonight, it's where the fog will be the thickest by tomorrow. tomorrow, during the day, the clouds will lift and the skies will turn that beautiful color of blue that we
