accident at a montgomery county car wah. good evening. i'm wendy rieger. doreen and jim have theight off. our stop story tonight, a deadly accident outside a car wash in rockville. t workers run over. john schriffen isive on hungerford drive. >> witnesses are tryg to figure out just how this tragic accident happened. witnesses tell us at the time this car wash was packed with customers and workers who were husba hustling, trying toet cars out of here as fast as possib. what we do know tonigh is one an is dead, another is in the hospital fighting for his life after th were both run over by a coworker driving a jeep suv >> i've be working for the company for such a long time, it's just sad that something like this happens. >> workers here at the flagship car wash in rockville are shocked after a worker driving this jeep suv plowed over two of his coworkers,illing one and leaving aother in the hospital in critical condition. it happened on hungerford dre about 5:30 in the evening when a customer drove a jeep out of the car was he en hithe two unsuspecting victims who we busy towelng off this red car. >> for whater reason,which is still under investigion, he lo control of the jeep, struck two emplees, dragged them acss thestreet and cameo rest where youee the vehicle now. >> this is myfamily. >> this cell phone video taken by an iwitness just moments after the crash catches the tragic scene asamily members, fellow employees, even customers sh over. so try to free the two men who were pinned underneathhe jeep. unfortunately, the way the vehicle is resng against the guideire for the lines as wl as the impact with thecurb, they really had to wait for the heavy duty rescue trucks and fire rescue. >> mutes later, emergency crews propped the vehicle up on blocks to free thewo men. but for one, it was already too late. >> we' just here to let the day go by, go to sleep and wake up and just do the same routine allover, you know?
