Family members of an 8yearold boy in Prince William county are grieving this morning. 8yearold Franklin Flores lost his life yesterday. He crashed an atv into a tree. The fire chief says the department has made progress but is still struggling when it comes to advance life support calls. Response times have not improved nearly a year into the districts use of a private ambulance service. He made the statement in a letter to firefighters and paramedics. A spokesman released a statement countering that statement saying in part, quote, the bottom line is that we are responding faster to 911 calls adding that the department is aggressively hiring paramedics and adding three medic units.
