There is the upper level moisture flowing across the southeast and overall, High Pressure in control and a weak cold front to the north and northwest in terms of moisture and cloud cover, and that will pass through late today and tonight and bring us in the meantime, the upper level futurecast. The flow in the upper atmospheres with the white lines with the upper level area, swirling over eastern canada, and a wide trough over the atlantic ocean. The warmest readings have been pushed off to the southeast by the front that came through over the weekend. Through northern care carolina today and tomorrow, and wednesday, a cold start to the day on wednesday, and by wednesday afternoon, were looking at an upper level trough over the nations mid section that will be coming towards the Mississippi Valley area on wednesday. Ahead of a trough like that, you tend to have rising motion and more moisture and the potential for shower activity and we think that will be approaching North Carolina on thursday. It of rain, later thursday in the day, a 20 to 25 chance and as the trough crosses the area thursday night into early friday, we may have a 30 or 35 chance of rain. By the time we get to friday, the trough axis is along the coast. So the lift and moisture will be out over atlantic and likely to have a dry friday. As we head into saturday, warm coming in ahead of the next weak trough to the north and west. But sunshine and blue sky and maybe a wisp or two of cirrus clouds, 70 by lunchtime and 64 at 8 00 p. M.
