The Highway Patrol says charges are pending against williams and they do not believe alcohol or speed were factors. North carolina schools may be making a mistake that could cost the state federal education funding. The u. S. Department of education send state education leaders a warning after they found that schools fail to testing of students on state exams last year. We were one of 13 ates that received a letter from the u. S. Department of education. Wanted to know every school that failed to testing of students. The simulated we had more than 300 schools in our state that did not testing of students. How many students are supposed to be tested each school year . 95 of all students. When i looked at the data the North Carolina schools a sentiment, some schools did not even come close. Wake unty schools are on that list . Yes. More than 30 schools including 23 of the 27 high schools. I reached out to wake schools and acknowledge the taxing very few of our high schools test 95 of students. I found that night delhi actually had the west participation. What is the reason behind this . Simply kids are not showing up for these tests . Yes. And when students do not show up that counts against e school. Another some schools have taken a proactive approach. Randolph county for example has some of the highest test state last year. They said, what we do is send letters home. We call some parents and did some cases drive to students houses and say we will take you to school so you can take these tests. Thats why they have high participation rates. To know if wake county schools might consider those possibilities . Or do they accept the fact that they will not have high participation rates . I dont think they accept the fact. They tell me they try to make phone calls and reach out to students to get them in.
