This after a retired federal judge ruled the league was wrong to indefinitely boot the nfl pro from sidelines after the release of this video showing him hitting his thenfiancee in an elevator. A huge blow to Roger Goodell who said rice didnt tell the league the whole story. It was clear there was an act of domestic violence. But inconsistent with the way he described how it happened. Reporter the judge called it arbitrary. Saying its not true. And noting that i am not persuaded that rice lied to or misled the nfl. And slamming the previous cases, saying that rices mishandled punishment speaks to their admitted failure in the past to sanction this type of conduct more severely. Speaking out after the decision, rice, through his lawyers, saying in a statement, i will continue working hard to improve myself and be the best husband, father and friend while giving back to my community and helping others to learn from my mistakes. Now hes eligible to return to the game, the question becomes, will an nfl team have him . If theres a team that will belief that ray rice can help that team win in the shortterm or the longterm, somebody will give him a Second Chance at some point in time. This morning, the two little boys who had been trapped for seven hours in snow are telling us about their ordeal. 9yearold jason rivera and 11yearold elijah martinez. Do you feel good . Reporter a snowplow threw a wall of snow on top of the young cousins as they played, building a snow fort. That fort creating an air pocket for them to breathe. Their legs buried. Nobody could hear their screams. You had a block of ice on you. So i mean, you were trapped. The only thing he could move was one of his arms. Thats it. Reporter the pile of snow is almost as tall as i am. And the moms were walking back and forth and never heard those kids screaming inside. Motivating each other to like not go to sleep. Keep yelling, keep moving our body. Trying to break out. Because i knew if we would have fallen asleep, we wouldnt wake up. We probably wouldnt wake up, would be so cold, frozen, probably.
