We will degrade and ultimately destroy isil. Reporter it will be inside syria and the president decided to launch air strikes against targets there. No word on when they will begin. The president is asking congress to authorize the training and arming of Syrian Rebels fighting sunni militants. We will hunt down terrorists who threaten our country wherever they are. If you threaten america, you will find no safe haven. Reporter in iraq, mr. Obama is expanding u. S. Air strikes and sending 475 more u. S. Troops to advise and train Iraqi Security forces, but he says he will not send u. S. Combat troops. The president is also building a coalition to take on this threat. In a statement, House Speaker john boehner said while the president presented a compelling case for action, many questions remain about the way in which the president intends to act.
