Have shot and captured prison escapee david sweat. It happened around 3 20 near constable, new york just a few miles from canada. Authorities say that he was trying to make a break to the border. This is a photograph of the sweat from cnn just after he was captured. He was wearing camouflage. Sweat was wounded but the extent of his gun shot wounds is not yet clear. As a fellow republican i have been good to him from day one. As a community this township has been good to him. The governor repaid us forgetting us in our time of need. Reporter power was knocked out for hundreds of thousands of customers after tuesday nights storm and last nights weather caused an estimated 16,000 new outages megan crown and her neighbors in gloucester township just got power to two hours ago after being without it for five days. It is just been extremely frustrating. We lost, i cant tell you about how many hundreds of dollars worth of food and we felt like we were forgotten. Reporter it is estimate 5. 000 customers still do not have electricity. Im not under estimating what sandy was at all but for us, this was worse than sandy. Reporter now Greenwich Township mayor george shyvrey is saying to come to his states aid. I have not seen anyone from feel, members of the council i have not seen anyone from fema, communication has been terrible, during this crisis and it is unacceptable. Reporter the federal designation would make disaster aid available to residents, businesses and municipalities. Christie is expected to announce his president ial bid on tuesday and in a press release he said about 99 percent of the power has been restored and he is monitoring the situation but that is not enough of a response for those who are hit, hardest by the storm. 25 percent of Greenwich Township is still in the dark. Reporter that federal aid would help people like the residents of this home, which has been damaged by a tree here from this storm now Atlantic City electric says that they expect any of those customers who are without power now hopefully to be up and running by tomorrow. The mayor says that while five years ago he would have been standing by Chris Christie as he made that announcement for president , he says now he will be standing right here in this community, helping his residents rebuild their lives. Peco is making progress with 1,385 customers left still to restore. Less than a tenth of what it had remaining last night. But Atlantic City electric still has the worst of it the worst of the outages with 15,321 customers affect, most of them, in Gloucester County. Del marva has fewer than 300 people to reconnect tonight. Last nights heavy rain prompted at least one rescue in delaware. Here in stanton, several people had to be rescued from high waters from when the Red Clay Creek flooded. Rescuers responded at about 10 00 oclock last night. Neighbors heard cries for help and called police. Two men and one woman were found clinging to trees trying to stay above the water. They were taken to christiana hospital and they are expect to be okay. The storms have finally moved out leaving us with a dry, sunny day with a nice weather sticking around for a little will while.
