Our other big story from chester where several big shooters where one that left a teenager dead forced a school to go on lockdown. Reporter good afternoon rick, chesters mayor, police chief and a superintendant of the School System is due in moments to give a full briefing on the situation at and near the high school that occurred at 9 00 and 9 30 this morning. A Chester High School student was shot and killed this morning around 9 00 they believe it started at 9th and barkley and ran to 10th before collapsing and dying. No word on a motive. A second shooting occurred at 9th and curlin and that victim is alive and taken to crossier Medical Center in a private car. You see the bullet casings at that scene. The car had shattered windows, how they might we related is a question up in the air. Chester high school is on lockdown since the incidents. At this hour the high School Remains in lockdown. Parents have been told they can come and pick thursday children up if they so desire but we are waiting for a full briefing from Chester Police on this incident this morning. Today is sentencing day for the former president of penn state and two other administrators they are learning what penalty they will pay for failing to report the Jerry Sandusky allegations in 2001. They are seeking up to a year in prison for former president , graham spanier. He was convicted at a jury trial and plans to appeal. And former Athletic Director tim curly and gary shultz each plead guilty. That the men hushed up an alligation of sandusky abusing a boy in a Football Team shower in 2001 to protect the universitys reputation. And inreview says that the james t. Vaughn Correction Center in delaware is dangerously overcrowded and critically under staffed and poorly run. The facility where inmates took four hostages and a standoff that left one person dead. It portrays Correctional Officers as stressed and not know what is expected of them and that the inmated deal with anxiety because they dont know how they will be treated. And prison workers consider communications the number one problem at the facility. Lets listen in. 7 50 Police Received a call for a man down and responding offices found a 16yearold male unresponsive lying in the street. He had what appeared to be gunshot wounds and medics pronounced him dead at the scene. That matter is still under investigation. From our accounts a good kid, goes to the high school, was a Football Player from what i understand. We are not releasing his name until all family members were notified. And then while we were conducting that crime scene there was another shooting incident between two vehicles, a pinkish mercury grand marquis had a person in it that was shot and taken to crozier chester Medical Center by the vehicle and we are looking for a burgundy sedan with a pennsylvania registration. That is all the information on that so far. Neither information sexed from the high school or was at the high school. The second incident happened at 9 18 we notified the administrative staff of the high school to let them know what was going on and begin lockdown procedures. So there was not a flood of people coming in and out of the high school. We were going to give the all clear and then more shots fired at west 23rd street at 10 57 that recented earlier than we did.
