Scary moments when a toddler was found out side in the frigid cold wearing very little clothing, the man found the 2yearold outside and alone on the 500 block of homestead road in wilmington, its youngster was wearing pajama bottoms and pair of socks he called out to the toddler but would not talk to him. Reporter hi there rick this collapse was discovered around midnight by a bristol cop making his rounds he thought there was snow in the air but turned out to be the dry cement stored in the silo, emergency crews are here for hours by tony gabriel, and short of a miracle could not have survived the collapse. We are waiting for him to find him. My brother was a great guy. Everybody loved him. John gabriel is grieving the loss of his brother, he was trapped sometime before his shift ended at midnight when a silo in bristol collapsed. We made every effort we can to go through and search for the victim. Technical rescue and local Fire Companies and rescue dogs and at this point we deemed its going from a rescue effort to a recovery effort. The task force responded to the scene trying to locate gabriel in the debris but couldnt. There is the most technical rescue incident you can come across in the united states. Its the combination of a Building Collapse and an engulfment scenario where hundreds of thousands of pounds of dry concrete comes down like an avalanche and buries everything in its site. The doctor determine there had is no chance that gabriel could have survived the collapse and now the focus is on recovering his body.
