This story is developing from overnight. Another horrific ordeal coming out of orlando. It hurts to tell you about it. A toddler was dragged down into a lagoon at a disney world there by an alligator. This happened right in front of his parents who tried their best to fight off that beast. He was just no match. He was a bigger match for them. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is live in our Satellite Center with more on this story weve been following all morning and katherine, you have been painting the scene of just how big this alligator was. Yeah, they said this alligator could be anywhere between four and 7 feet long and yet those parents went in after that alligator. This family of five was on vacation from nebraska. They were near the edge of a lake last night when the unthinkable happened. The search continues this morning after a twoyearold boy was dragged into the water by an alligator in florida. The family of five from nebraska was wading near the waters edge at the seven seas lagoon at disneys grand floridian resort and spa when the alligator attacked. The father entered the water and tried to grab the child, was not successful in doing so. At some point im told that the mother also may have entered the water. Reporter the alligator was described as anywhere between four and 7 feet long. A team of 50 Law Enforcement personnel and two marine units were dispatched. The the fish and Wildlife Commission was called in. Officers from different parts of our region to come and assist us and were putting every effort into locating the child and trang this alligator. Reporter chris pecula from north wales watched from his hotel room. Boats in the water a helicopter overeyed. Overhead. Come down here for vacation and you feel sadness for the family. Police are looking into the possibility this shooting may be related to another shooting that happened on monday night on the 200 block of harrison. At least three juveniles are said to be among the victims of a shooting that wounded five people in wilmington last night. The latest in the city hit hard in recent months by youth violence. And thats right Wilmington Police say that five people were shot last night, several of them juveniles and we know that at least one of them was a 13yearold girl. We do know that all of them are lited i listed in stable condition. Take a look at this video. Were told this happened around 9 15. Officers responded to elm street and South Van Buren after receiving multiple calls and shots fired to 911. Officers found three shooting victims on van buren and two others on nearby harrison. Police say the victims are juveniles. One victim as young as 13. That young girl and the rest of those victims were taken to area hospitals and again are listed in stable condition. Now, back out here live, on monday night there was a shooting only a few blocks from last nights shooting and that situation a 24yearold man was shot and wounded in the shoulder. He is also in stable condition at this hour. Police are investigating both of the shootings but they to not believe that they are related. New this morning problems with the water supply hampered efforts to fight a fire in lansdale Montgomery County. The flames broke out on the 800 block of west fifth street at the clemons uniform rental company. The business was closed for the day. No one was inside and there are no reports of injuries at the scene but it did take crews an hour and a half to knock down those flames. Now to a developing story and it is a heartbreaking one. Search teams have spent all night at a disney world resort looking for a toddler dragged away by an alligator. Thats right, nid yam officials in florida are providing an update. So far they have not found this little boy but they are still considering this a search and rescue operation. They have had multiple boats on the water throughout the night and theyre sending in new deputies today to provide fresh sets of eyes. Investigators are focusing on the wife of the shooter and whether she had information that could have prevented the tragedy. Officials now allege noor salman accompanied her husband omar mateen to the pulse nightclub where the massacre unfolded as well as to the Florida Gun Store where mateen purchased weapons and ammo. Salman is reportedly arguing to the fbi she tried to talk her husband out of harming anyone. Investigators are also pouring over mateens cell phone looking for can connections to the Gay Community through contacts and dating apps going back as far as a decade. 6 37 now. Police believe bryans body was dumped in Fairmount Park about 10 feet off the road on monday night.
