Everything is fixed and opened this morning with no southbound delays on the boulevard headed down toward the schuylkill expressway. The delays just barely starting to form here on 95 southbound entering the work zone at cottman. Youre tapping the brakes again farther south approaching girard but so far the travel time remains at 14 minutes which is right on time. Overnight construction on the pennsylvania turnpike in bucks county westbound past Delaware Valley is cleared out of the way. So everything is back to normal there in the ongoing work zone and theres more work today in the millville area along 55 northbound past 49. Left lane out of commission through 3 oclock this afternoon. So watch out for that. If youre headed up towards 42. Once you get there looking good, just a little building volume here in the northbound lanes headed towards 295. Developing right now the scene of a fire in berks county. The massive flames erupted last night in Richmond Township because of the huge fire a portion of the route 662 has been shut down. Authorities caught 22yearold kayree reid yesterday near jacksonville florida. He was wanted for murdering a Grocery Store clerk back in november. Reporter and matt thats right, it was a dramatic chase in florida last night that led to the arrest of a philadelphia man wanted on homicide charges. And now the family members of the victim of the alleged fugitive says they are relieved. This is the man u. S. Marshals took into custody last night in florida, 28yearold kayree reid. The marshals arrested him outside of jacksonville. When marshals moved in reid allegedly jumped into a vehicle and fled with a friend he was staying with and gave chase. The duo crashed into Law Enforcement vehicles with a child inside. Authorities found narcotics inside the vehicle as well. Reid is charged with shooting death of 22yearold Maurice Mcdonald. Mcdonald was gunned down november 10th inside j and r perez grocery in man clue. What this morning his family and a clerk who was there the day of the shooting are relieved there is an arrest even though their lives have dramatically changed since then. We need him off the streets. You know, so and i appreciate everything the detectives whoever was in charge or whoever, i appreciate them very much. Reporter and the clerk of the store where this all went down in november says that his family also feels some closure knowing that the alleged fugitive is now off the streets. He now faces an extradition hearing in florida before he comes back to philadelphia to face homicide charges. We have new information this morning on a deadly crash near new hope bucks county. Police now say two people were killed. Chopper6 was over route 202 near sugan road in Solebury Township last night. Police say a nissan suv and a volvo Station Wagon ended up colliding head on. Both the driver and passenger of the volvo died at the scene. Medevac crew airlifted the man driving the nissan to a Trauma Center but he also lost his life. Police are now asking any witnesses of the crash to call them as they try to figure out what happened. New on action news a grinchlike thief in berks county has been stealing holiday decorations. Muhlenberg Township Police have received reports of at least four thefts in the past few days. Police say the thief or thieves are stealing lights and decorations from peoples homes and lawns. The thefts have been reported around the temple section of the township. While the decorations may not be worth much police are calling this an especially upsetting crime. Its the spirit of the season that makes this such sump a heartbreaking loss for people is that theyre trying to do something festive and fun in the spirit of the Christmas Season and then its stolen.
