And today is the last day we can gather up our acorns and nuts before we have to hibernate for six months. Not for six months necessarily but yes. Thursday is going to be brutally uncomfortable with bitter wind chills down in the single Single Digits most of the afternoon. Today a good day to get stuff done if you have a choice. Storm tracker6 live double scan shows you that we are dry this morning and as we take a look outside its cold but not as bad as its going to be tomorrow. Theres the airport. Most of us are in the 30s across the region. Lets go ahead and check out those numbers. 35 currently in allentown, 35 in reading, 34 in lancaster, 35 philadelphia. Very even numbers through the northwest down to the i95 corridor and down toward millville. Trenton right now at 31 and 40 in cape may. Not much wind out there which is nice. There goes those overnight showers that we called for. Theyre now gone and you can see how the clouds have started to break up a bit. Fortunately not much wind. Down the shore a little bit milder, a high of 45, partly sunny and chilly there. Again not very windy. And in philadelphia well go for partly sunny skies overall and a chilly high of 42 degrees winds running out of the west at about six to 12 Miles Per Hour today and overnight tonight look for partly cloudy skies and an occasional flurry and well dip down to 23. Now notice how overnight the winds start to pick up as a frontal boundary gets closer to us and starts to push past. We are going to be on the blustery side overnight tonight and then tomorrow look out. A high of 24 during the day. Well probably hit fairly early in the morning. I actually expect numbers during most of the day and through the afternoon to be sitting on or about 21 and with that were strong westnorthwest wind running 15 to 25 Miles Per Hour gusting higher than that well have single digit wind chills for much of the day tomorrow so tomorrow is going to be really brutal and easily the coldest air of the season. Might take until later in the day up in the poconos for that change to happen but as we transition between the snow and the rain there could be some freezing rain mixing in and maybe some sleet. So, saturdays mess begins probably around midnight on saturday. It starts as snow for all and then we get that period of icing before a changeover to rain. The biggest mixing issues will probably be in the northern and western suburbs. Your sevenday from accuweather 42 today, partly sunny during the day a frigid night tonight. And then app bitter wind tomorrow making it feel like its in the Single Digits no better than about 10 during the day an high of 24 with temperatures sagging into the lope 20s most of the day. Still cold on friday, a high of 26. Not as windy but uncomfortable and that snow arriving late friday night and in through saturday and then on saturday we get the snow tthe brief icing between and then a changeover to rain with an afternoon high of 44.
