This is breaking right now on action news. Two Police Officers are believed to have been bitten by a man who they witnessed attempting to break into a parked car. Action News ReporterAnnie Mccormick is live now in hunting park with the details. Good morning, annie. Reporter good morning, tamala. And those two officers were taken to the hospital. That suspect put up a fight with his mouth biting both officers on their hands and on their arms. Well, take a look at this video. This is from the scene. The attack started just after 1 30 in the morning. Two 24th district Police Officers were on routine patrol on atlantic street. Thats when they saw the suspect trying the break into a car. Now, when police went to stop him, thats when the violent struggle began. They say that the suspect tried to flee and punched, kicked, headbutted and then bit the officers multiple times breaking their skin on their hands and their arms and drawing blood. This particular 32yearold suspect who was arrested is well known to the police in the area for not only selling drugs but also doing drugs, so we want to make sure that now that this individual bit and broke the skin of both of these officers that the officers dont get any type of infections because of the human bite which can be very, very dangerous. Reporter and police say that they had to get those wounds thoroughly cleaned out at the hospital. There is a worry of infection. Now, as for the 32yearold suspect, he is in custody. He is known to the police for selling and using drugs which is another concern with those bites. He will definitely be charged we are told with resisting arrest and also aggravated assault on a Police Officer and more charges still could come. And philadelphia homicide detectives are searching for the shooter who gunned down a 56yearold plan on his porch just inches from his front door. Police say the suspect followed the victim as he returned home to the 800 block of north 41st street and shot that victim at point blank range. They dont have an idea of a motive yet but police say this murder was all captured on surveillance video. The victim of last weeks envelope bombing in center city is finally talking about what happened. 60yearold jim alden was hit with shrapnel on his face chest and arms when he opened the letter on tuesday of last week. He released a statement to action news offering some thoughts on his recovery. Alden says he is out of the hospital resting at home and called the attack life changing. Alden was in his kitchen on the 1800 block of pine street when the envelope exploded in his hands. The atf, the fbi, the Postal Service and Philadelphia Police are all working together to figure out who sent the envelope. Abington Police Arrested two men who they say robbed a Dominos Pizza driver. They are 21yearold quincy evans and 23yearold rashon singtonsaunders.
