Dry across the region. Winds coming down out of the eastnortheast this morning probably shifting out of the southeast later. Were only at 35 degrees in allentown so pretty cold up in the Lehigh Valley and 37 degrees as you step outside in reading, even trenton is in the up are 30s, same thing in millville. A little better down in sea isle city. Mostly cloudy and chilly by 6 oclock 40 degrees, 45 by 8 oclock. Some of you may see he some decent amount of sunshine early this morning but again, that will change as we go through the morning and into the afternoon. 49 degrees by 9 oclock. Then by noon 60 and we are going to be a tad milder today. Well see a high of 63 degrees and that will be right in or around 3 oclock and then by 6 oclock were back to 60 degrees. Could be a couple of spotty sprinkles late today or tonight but the big rain comes tomorrow and ill have the look on that in future tracker6. Thats all coming up karen. All right. Well expect that rain dave but not today. Right now were looking outside live were dry. Here on the schuylkill expressway at vine penndot with the arrow board. The ramp to the vine street expressway still remains closed at this point. Its been scheduled overnight with the vine closed in both directions. Usually they clear by 5 00 a. M. Looks like theyre still closed at this point so hopefully soon theyll be allowing traffic. Once they reopen theyll close again tonight at 11 oclock when they continue to do all that construction on the vine. Looking live on the roosevelt boulevard southbound traffic headed towards the schuylkill moving nicely at this point. Light volume. Its early. No weather related problems so youre good to go right there. We had a fatal accident on the Atlantic City expressway in Hamilton Township and it has since cleared. All lanes have reopened so youre looking much better on the Atlantic City expressway westbound in familiar Hamilton Township. Just some construction crews in Cape May County on route nine both ways until 6 oclock theyre blocking the right lane. Matt and tam. Thank you karen. And we begin with breaking news out of france as authorities hunt down the terrorist wanted for those attacks on paris. French authorities raided an apartment near paris overnight leading to an intense standoff with gun shots a bomb blast and arrests. Action News Reporter erin ohearn is lie in the Satellite Center with the latest. Erin this is an evolving story. Reporter very fluid so a lot of the numbers we give you today may change throughout the morning so thats why youll want to stick with us for the latest information. This raid was part of the military hunt for terrorists involved in fridays attack in paris. It was specifically aimed at the alleged mastermind of those attacks which killed 129 people. Now, lets give you some of the details. There are a number of varying reports unfolding this morning but we know that at least two people were killed in the town of saintdenis which is only about a half hour north of paris. Think how scary that is that this raid happens just a half hour north of paris. One of those who died is a woman who detonate add suicide vest. Five other people have been taken into custody, three of those were inside the apartment where the suspected terrorists were hiding. There are also reports that some Police Officers were wounded during this raid which started around 4 20 this morning paris time so thats just before midnight here. Loud and copter wuss gunfire was heard throughout this neighborhood in the past few hours. Residents were told to stay inside. Some of them, however, captured the drama as it unfolded. Take a listen. [gunfire] reporter certainly frightening sounds coming from that neighborhood and people in the area clearly anxious and on edge as this such situation develops at a rapid pace. And emotions and fears still very fresh and very raw in peoples minds. Witnesses have been recording what is happening as we said on their cell phones as you can see there and as we mentioned the focus of this raid and really of the military effort since friday has been on hunting down abdelhamid abaaoud. The alleged mastermind of the attacks. A french official said it is believed he was inside there apartment during the raid this morning. Now, we dont know if he was killed arrested or remains at large. Abaaoud is a belgian citizen and until this morning was thought to have been in syria. Hes believed to be in his mid20s. And we want to take you to a live picture of saintdenis. You can see the cheer number of authorities outside that apartment building. Its just astonishing. Its an incredible scene there of just how aggressively and quickly they moved into that apartment building, again a very dynamic military effort aimed at the alleged mastermind of those attacks in paris. Right now we understand that at least two people are dead and five people are in custody. Multiple officers were apparently injured as we understand but again, those numbers continue to change so well keep you updated as we get new information in. Now, of course now the effort which Authorities Say is under control at least the military part that of effort, now the focus will be in going into those apartments and gathering evidence and hopefully will give the military and authorities some through as to what happened on friday and hopefully preventer Something Like this from happening again. A relative rescued the homeowner from the burning inferno. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is live near the scene in the overbrook section of the city with more. Katherine. Reporter matt, we spoke to the woman who lives here. She says she was downstairs asleep. Suddenly she heard glass breaking and she heard her nephews voice saying something was on fire and indeed the flames spread through this overbrook home here and you can see firefighters remain on the scene blasting water at the hot spots. This happened around 1 30 this morning on the 6100 block of west columbia. Thick flames ripped through the home raging through the first and second floors. Witnesses tell us the fire started in the back of the home and then spread quickly. Eventually the roof collapsed. We spoke to the woman who lives here tiffany booker, she tells us she wasnt injured. This home has been with her family since the 60s and now its ruined. She believes it start fred an outside grille. When she left it she said the grille was secured and upright. When she walked outside today she said it was on the ground. Her nephew said she was lucky he was passing by. Im walking past to go get a cigarette. I see my aunt house on the on fire from the back. I just kicked in the window to try to get her to come out. Reporter back here live firefighters are on the scene. At least one of the neighboring homes is damaged. Red paw rescued two turtles and cats from a neighboring home. The fire marshal is here. Stay with action news as we continue to follow the story. New this morning the ongoing search for a fourth man that carried out a Home Invasion in berks county that left two other suspected robbers and the homeowner wounded. This happened early yesterday morning. The homeowner told police he was awakened by a man pointing a gun at him. The victim grabbed his own gun and exchanged fire with two intruders. Investigators received a tip that two men dropped off two gun shot victims at the hospital. The two wounded suspects and a suspected accomplice are now in custody and again police are searching for a fourth robber. The homeowner was treated for a gunshot wound his leg. It is 5 08. New on action news the area left of a texas man accused of making terror threats. That case has ties to the delaware valley. Texas Authorities Say Gloucester Township Police notified them after a local man received messages from Clayton Alexander cancelor. The unidentified man claims he posted disturbing photos of ammunition along with a direct message on facebook about shooting up a mosque. Police arrested cancelor but they didnt find any weapons he lives less than a mile from a mosque. Hes facing a long list of charges. Still talking about that rain but its going to hold off until late today, right. Yeah, there could be a little sprinkle around late day or this evening. The main rain coming in tomorrow. There are some clouds beginning to push in from the west. And up in allentown and reading were only in the 30s. Same thing in trenton and wilmington or millville right now. 48 degrees in dover. 55 in cape may and again that 44degree reading in wilmington at this early hour so everybody cool, everybody grabbing for the coats this morning. Future tracker6 shows you how between now up until about nine or 10 oclock there is the possibility of some sun but we get later into the morning up to lunchtime and it does look like we cloud up pretty well. As we roll through the day theres the slight chance of an afternoon sprinkle or shower north and west butter most of us will stay dry. Later this evening a little better chance of that. Just light stuff tonight, though. 58 degrees, lots of clouds and milder today in the Lehigh Valley. Down the shore it will also be a bit milder with lots of clouds building in during the Morning Hours. 63 is the high. Maybe a break here or there today down the shore but generally speaking a fairly cloudy day. And then mostly cloudy in philadelphia with some early sunshine giving way to thickening clouds. 63 is the high, a bit milder and winds shifting out of the southeast as we go through the day at about eight to 16 Miles Per Hour so a little bit on the breezy side kind of like it was yesterday. Heres how numbers will climb. 45 degrees by 8 oclock, 57 by 11 oclock. Then we spend the afternoon in the low to mid 60s. Well get that high of 63 probably around 3 oclock this afternoon. And then comes tomorrow. And by 6 oclock when we are rolling through our morning broadcast, it does look like well be looking at some rain out to the west of philadelphia during the second half of the rush hour it may overtake much of the region and even become steady out to the west. Then we roll through the rest of the day and weve got periods of rain off and on and sometimes it will be steady tomorrow. This is the 3 oclock afternoon view, probably a good idea to have most of the kids armed with some rain gear. Could be an afternoon or evening thunderstorm down the shore, too and then by 6 oclock, were going to start to see most of that rain at least die down in intensity. I think the evening commute is probably still on the damp side, though and by 10 oclock we are hopefully seeing the end of this. How much rain are we expecting . In philadelphia most of the models putting us between about a hal inch to an inch of rain and i think thats what everybody can expect across the region. Theyre going to be out there until about 6 oclock but they already cleared from 295 so thats some better news. 168 theyll be out there for just a few minutes longer so some construction crews still out and about in the suburbs. How about if youre coming in from moorestown new jersey trying to make your way into the city. Here on the waze app with your commuter traffic report its 26 minute ride if you stick to the betsy ross bridge and take i95. Youre better off just taking 38 and taking the ben franklin bridge. A new report from the department a found pennsylvania ranked ninth last year with 19 drug related deaths for 100,000 people. For people who died of drug overdoses in the state over half of them 52 percent were found to have heroin in their system. They say the heroin sold in philadelphia is unusually potent because the Strong Demand drives up quality. Heroin related deaths are on track to rise again this year. Some claim the war on saturated fat is over while others wonder if that means it is healthy to go back and eat just regular butter.
